The 2020s have somewhat “officially” graduated at this point, and now it’s the 2021s turn to make their final marks. Let’s take a look at twenty-one available players from the Class of 2021 that would be great at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="80750" first="Evvie" last="Kaczkowski"] – 5’8 – Outside Hitter – Lake Country Lutheran

Kaczkowski will be teaming up with Hannah Kuhlman (2023 – 5’11 – Pin Hitter) as the primary weapons for LCL this fall. While they will lose a strong attacking senior class, they will still be an incredibly strong defensive squad with the return of [player_tooltip player_id="81255" first="Adriana" last="Studer"] (2022 – 5’8 – Libero), [player_tooltip player_id="82893" first="Rachel" last="Rossing"] (2023 – 5’7 – Setter), and Kaczkowski. The Lightning might be another Midwest Classic Conference contender.

[player_tooltip player_id="80828" first="Hilirie" last="McLaughlin"] – 5’11 – Middle Blocker - SPASH

High reach, quick snap, McLaughlin is the balanced middle for which you were looking. She has been an anchor in the middle for SPASH with the ability to protect the net and terminate. The combination of her and Montana Zdroik (2022 – 5’7 – Setter/Right Side Hitter) in 2020 will be a solid go-to connection where McLaughlin can attack a quick tempo in front or behind her setter.

Katie Trias – 5’4 - Libero - Verona

Trias is flat-out scrappy, tenacious, and the perfect spark for any team. She has played as a defensive specialist, as well as libero, and makes an impact in either jersey. With a stable platform and a devotion to keep the ball alive, her development will be fun to see as she competes for the libero position for Verona since losing their 2019 libero to graduation.

[player_tooltip player_id="80730" first="Kayla" last="Lewinski"] – 5’10 – Right Side Hitter - Hamilton

Lewinski is really athletic and so versatile in her attack selection. She is also solid in serve-receive and transitions well to attack. She can contribute to her team by swinging from either pin or shutting down the opposition with a strong block.

[player_tooltip player_id="80734" first="Kelly" last="Page"] – 5’5 – Setter/Pin Hitter - Merrill

Page can play on either pin, hold down the back row, or run the offense. She is extremely physical and tenacious, making her really hard to beat. Page hit from the outside pin and set for the 2019 Merrill team while she typically sets and hits from the right pin for her club team. Her gritty defensive style makes her frustrating to compete against and could make an argument for her as a libero at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="33734" first="Lakyn" last="Graves"] – 6’1 – Middle Blocker - Hamilton

Graves brings a spark to the court and will be relied upon to command the net once again this fall for Hamilton with the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="56054" first="Ava" last="Rebarchik"]. Graves is a high intensity, focused player who also does a great job communicating with her team.

[player_tooltip player_id="56429" first="Lizzie" last="Binder"] – 6’3 – Pin Hitter – Sheboygan North

Binder can play anywhere on the net and has really developed as a passer and defender as well. She will be the go-to attacker this fall for North, where she will repeat as a big-time scorer from everywhere on the court. Binder is solid in all six rotations as a smart defender and leader in serve- receive.
