A handful of Minnesota prospects have announced their commitments. Here is a notable 2021 announcement along with some last season commitments from the class of 2020.

[player_tooltip player_id="71943" first="Jasmine" last="Weidemann"] - South Dakota State ([program_tooltip program_id='430430' first='Lakeville' last='South'] HS)
Weidemann will be back to help guide [program_tooltip program_id='430430' first='Lakeville' last='South'] towards one more shot at the state tournament for herself and her fellow senior teammates. The Cougars have some good power on the pins and great setting leadership, which could be the combination they need for great success in 2020. She will be taking her quick and athletic style of setting to South Dakota State joining the already committed [player_tooltip player_id="71955" first="Ella" last="Thompson"] from conference rival Lakeville North. Minnesota was well represented on the Jack Rabbits' 2019 roster, including the following non-senior athletes: [player_tooltip player_id="9769" first="Tatum" last="Pickar"] (Cannon Falls), [player_tooltip player_id="29872" first="Tori" last="Thompson"] (Lakeville North), Ellie Thein (MACCRAY), and [player_tooltip player_id="29869" first="Carly" last="Wedel"] (Willmar). They saw a coaching change just prior to the 2019 season and finished with an overall record of 6-22. It will be fun to follow these Minnesota athletes as they help this program turn the corner and find increased success in the coming years.
