<p>Multiple talented newcomers have landed in the updated Prep Dig Kentucky Class of 2021 Rankings.</p>
<p>Newcomers will be among the leaders for some of the state’s top prep volleyball teams. Senior high school volleyball players from across the state are preparing for the 2020 season, which is scheduled to start Monday, Sept. 7. </p>
<p>A look at some of the newcomers in the Prep Dig Kentucky Class of 2021 Rankings follows. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68083" first="Makena" last="Walker"] (22):</strong> An outside hitter from Assumption, Walker competed for KIVA during the 2020 club season. As a junior for state powerhouse Assumption in 2019, Walker landed 122 kills in her first 35 matches. Walker is prepared to take on a larger role for Assumption during the 2020 high school volleyball season. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68085" first="Courtney" last="Landrum"] (24):</strong> A setter from Eastern, Landrum is among the state’s leading players at her position. Excelling during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Landrum registered 491 assists and 245 digs. A consistent performer, Landrum continued to deliver during the shortened 2020 club season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103833" first="Paige" last="Wagers"] (25):</strong> A middle hitter from Henry Clay, Wagers is committed to Mercer. An All-City honoree in Lexington, Wagers competed for Lexington United 17 Adidas earlier in the year during the 2020 club volleyball season. Wagers is among the leaders for reigning 11th Region Champion Henry Clay. </p>
<p><strong>Beka Sargent (36):</strong> A defensive specialist from Simon Kenton, Sergent emerged as a force during her junior season in 2019. As a junior, Sergent recorded 394 digs, 203 kills, 53 service aces and 45 assists. Among the top players in Northern Kentucky, Sergent is a solid all-around performer. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103842" first="Molli" last="Nelson"] (46):</strong> A setter/outside hitter from Pulaski County, Nelson is one of the most versatile senior volleyball players in the state. During her junior season for 12th Region runner-up Pulaski County, Nelson posted 436 assists, 284 digs, 110 kills and 78 service aces. Nelson is headed into a promising senior campaign as one of the state’s Top 50 prep volleyball players. </p>
