Here’s a look at the top newcomers in the Prep Dig Kentucky Class of 2022 Rankings.
Riley McChord Riley McChord DS/L Lafayette | 2022 State KY (8): A libero from Lafayette, McChord is a defensive standout. Versatile, McChord has delivered as both a libero and a defensive specialist. Competing for Lexington United earlier in the year during the 2020 club volleyball season, McChord thrived. As a sophomore in the 2019 high school volleyball season, McChord contributed regularly to help Lafayette notch 26 wins.
Morgan Caba Morgan Caba OH Great Crossing | 2022 State KY (16): An outside hitter from upstart Great Crossing, Caba excelled throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. A strong hitter from the left side, Caba was among Great Crossing’s leaders in the 2019 high school volleyball season, delivering in multiple categories. Caba competed for Lexington United during the 2020 club volleyball season.
Lucy Wedding Lucy Wedding OH Lexington Catholic | 2022 State KY (20): An outside hitter from Lexington Catholic, Wedding competed for Lexington United during the most recent club season held earlier in the year as well. With a diverse skill set, Wedding led Lexington Catholic at the net as a sophomore in 2019, posting 346 kills and 30 blocks in addition to 317 digs.
Rylee McKinney Rylee McKinney OH Campbell County | 2022 State KY (30): An outside hitter from Campbell County, McKinney is among the top prep volleyball players in Northern Kentucky. As a sophomore in 2019, McKinney emerged as one of Campbell County’s top players, posting 334 kills, 425 digs and 78 service aces. McKinney helped to lead Campbell County to the 2019 10th Region title.
Cate Sights Cate Sights MB Owensboro Catholic | 2022 State KY (31): A middle hitter from Owensboro Catholic, Sights was a key contributor for 3rd Region champion Owensboro Catholic throughout the 2019 prep season. As a sophomore, Sights registered 181 kills and 70 blocks for the Aces. Sights tallied 11 kills, 3 digs and 2 service aces in Owensboro Catholic’s opening round win over Campbell County in the 2019 state tournament.
