Underrated Outside Hitters for the Class of 2022

<p>Outside hitters are critical to maintaining a well-balanced volleyball team. Having versatile outside hitters can balance out a teams’ offense, especially if it is struggling in other areas. These young ladies below may not all be the largest pin hitters in the state, however, they prove to be hardworking and dedicated to their position. These outsides are high flyers who have a tremendous amount of high volleyball IQ. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98948" first="Emma" last="Laade"] - 5’9" - Outside Hitter - Bradenton Christian</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="98948" first="Emma" last="Laade"] is an extremely efficient pin hitter out of Bradenton Florida. She is only 5’9" but is definitely a high flyer that uses the block to her advantage. She has a fast approach that allows her setter to run a fast offense to beat the block. No matter how out of system her team is, she still finds a way to get balls to the floor. In addition to being an offensive threat, she is also a necessity to have in the back row. She has accumulated nearly 500 digs for Bradenton Christian. Laade will continue to do great things for the team as she enters her junior campaign. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98955" first="Maya" last="Walker"] - 5’11" - Outside Hitter - Fleming Island</strong></p> <p>Walker is an extraordinary athlete that can easily take over a match with her arm swing. She has a multitude of shots that keeps her opponents guessing where she is going next. Walker has fantastic arm mechanics that allow her to get on top of balls and crush them. She has an aggressive swing from both the left and right pins. She is a valuable asset to her team in many different ways. She cleans up plays that look like they would be difficult to make. Walker will definitely help Fleming Island reach the level of success that they have had the past few years. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98951" first="Kendall" last="Mignerey"] - 5’10" - Outside Hitter - Ponte Vedra</strong></p> <p>Mignerey is an incredibly well-rounded volleyball player. She provides a perfect amount of balance and consistency for her team. After much time playing under the upperclassmen, Mignerey has now proven to be extremely skilled and athletic throughout the past 2019 season. She and her team won the state championship back in 2019 after facing some brutal opponents. She contributes not only with her attacking but also with her poised ball control. She will definitely be relied heavily upon from the sharks this upcoming season. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98950" first="Kate" last="Barker"] - 5’11" - Outside Hitter - Niceville</strong></p> <p>Barker is an attack option that can be utilized anywhere on the court. She is just as much an attack option in the front row as she is in the back row. She and her setter have managed to run a biq out of the pipe that racks up a multitude of kills for her team. She has mastered her technique in a way that tools the block of her opponents. Barker is also skilled and confident enough to hit through seams and holes in the block. Her hard work and dedication definitely pay off for her out on the court. Her efforts and attitude towards the game set a great example for other players to follow. </p>
