<p>Not all Kansas teams have played a full two-week schedule and not all teams post stats for public consumption, but here is a list of student-athletes off to solid starts in 2020.</p>
<p><strong>Killing Me Softly</strong></p>
<p><strong>OH, Asha Reiger, 5’9”, Newton</strong> – Reiger has 84 kills so far for the Newton Railers and a kill percentage of 47.7 percent. Reiger, a senior, is a solid jumper and has helped propel Newton to a 4-3 start.</p>
<p><strong>MH, [player_tooltip player_id="105632" first="Lauren" last="Schutter"], 6’1”, Wabaunsee (’22 Ranked No. 2)</strong> – Schutter has been filling up the box scores for Wabaunsee. The number two ranked player in Prep Dig Kansas’ Class of 2022 rankings has 67 blocks to date. She also tops the state with 27 blocks.</p>
<p><strong>OH, [player_tooltip player_id="105588" first="Baylee" last="Miller"], 6’9, Maize (’21 Ranked No. 108) –</strong> Miller a senior from Maize leads the Eagles with 54 kills in six matches. Miller is still looking for college offers and is starring for the 4-2 Eagles.</p>
<p><strong>Dig A Little Deeper</strong></p>
<p><strong>L, Abby Parr, 5’6”, Garden City</strong>– Parr has totaled 93 digs in eight matches. The Buffaloes are 3-5 in the first eight. Parr projects a solid NAIA or JUCO level recruit.</p>
<p><strong>L, Lizzy Cisneros, 5’1”, Liberal</strong> – This is a sophomore to start watching. Cisneros has amassed 75 digs for the 3-5 Liberal Redskins.</p>
<p><strong>L, Ali Patton, 5’8”, Scott City </strong>– Patton, a junior Libero, leads the Scott City Beavers with 75 digs in seven matches.</p>
<p><strong>Assist Machines</strong></p>
<p><strong>S, Marah Zenner, 5’6, Newton (’21 Ranked No. 145) –</strong> Zenner leads the state with 121 assists in six matches for Newton. The senior is a sure-handed setter leading a balanced Railroader attack.</p>
<p><strong>S, [player_tooltip player_id="105484" first="Laurel" last="Jones"], 6’1”, Maize South (’21 Ranked No. 4)</strong> – Jones, a verbal commitment to Marquette University has 90 assists for the 5-1 Mavericks. Jones is a can’t miss prospect and has been playing like one.</p>
<p><strong>S, Harley Ferralez, 5’5”, Hesston </strong>– The Swathers setter, a junior, has been guiding a young Hesston squad. She has 81 assists in five matches and hopes to play at the collegiate level.</p>
