Four District Champions on the Rise

<p>Several district champions are on the rise while heading into region volleyball tournaments across the state. </p> <p>Here are four district champions on the rise. </p> <p><strong>Ballard Memorial:</strong> Back on top in the 3rd District, Ballard Memorial is 22-2 heading into the 1st Region Volleyball Tournament. Ballard Memorial blanked Graves County 3-0 in the 3rd District title match. [player_tooltip player_id="68123" first="Isabella" last="Myers"] (326 kills, 29 blocks, 246 assists, 240 digs, 66 service aces), Morgan Blankenship (325 assists, 159 digs, 34 service aces, 14 kills), Alyssa Dome (300 digs, 33 service aces), Bailey Lee (221 kills, 220 digs, 24 service aces) and KyLee Bodell (280 digs, 44 service aces, 59 kills) are proven leaders for 3rd District champion Ballard Memorial. </p> <p><strong>Central Hardin:</strong> The champion out of the 17th District, Central Hardin upended Elizabethtown and is carrying momentum into the 5th Region Volleyball Tournament. Central Hardin is 22-1. [player_tooltip player_id="68068" first="Kelsey" last="Brangers"] (393 digs, 83 assists, 53 service aces), Addie Atcher (236 kills, 15 blocks, 27 digs), Jenasys Mullen (224 kills, 71 digs, 21 service aces), [player_tooltip player_id="104554" first="Lindsey" last="Vest"] (372 assists, 79 digs, 20 kills, 19 service aces) and Allie Blair (294 assists, 61 digs, 29 service aces) help to pace Central Hardin. </p> <p><strong>Powell County:</strong> After shutting out Lee County in the 56th District title match, Powell County will carry a 13-1 record into the 14th Region Volleyball Tournament. Alex Gulley (104 kills, 36 blocks, 124 digs, 16 service aces), Lauren Everman (234 assists, 100 digs, 27 service aces), [player_tooltip player_id="68110" first="Hannah" last="Jones"] (230 assists, 128 digs, 30 service aces), Macey Howell (83 kills, 20 blocks, 27 digs, 34 service aces) and Joanna Centers (71 kills, 68 blocks) each excel for Powell County.</p> <p><strong>St. Patrick:</strong> The 39th District champion, St. Patrick is 19-2 heading into the 10th Region Volleyball Tournament. St. Patrick features Mercedes Hedgecock (75 kills, 11 blocks, 14 assists, 225 digs, 51 service aces), Jadyn Stewart (70 kills, 39 assists, 336 digs, 66 service aces), Mandi Gilbert (374 digs, 47 service aces, 65 assists, 29 kills), Makenna Roush (333 digs, 59 kills, 18 service aces) and Faith Comer (228 digs, 87 assists, 28 service aces), among others.</p>
