Below are the top senior outside attackers from SW Washington:
[caption id="attachment_110788" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Excel NW[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="96999" first="Tiffany" last="Chandler"], 5’10″, OH/DS, La Center High School, Excel NW, Montana State University Billings

Chandler, a three-year Varsity starter for the La Center High School Wildcats, is an impact player and go-to attacker for the team. As a Junior, she hit an impressive .365 on the season with 354 total swings and is responsible for more than half of the Wildcats’ 674 total kills last season. She is not afraid to take big swings in both the front and back row. Not only does she have an explosive attack but a great court sense making her an indispensable all-around player. Her awards list while playing for the Wildcats is expansive, starting with 1A Trico Honorable Mention All-Leauge as a freshman. She has been awarded 1A Trico First Team All-League the past two seasons, as well as Co-Offensive Player of the Year for the 1A Trico League. She was also awarded Second Team All-State last season. Last club season she played for Excel NW 18-1 Rox.

She recently committed to play at Montana State University, Billings.
[caption id="attachment_108218" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Cole Petters[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="96998" first="Alison" last="Dreves"], 5’10″, OH/RS, Columbia River High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy, Marian University

Coming into her junior season, she was in unfamiliar territory as a transfer from Tigard High School. She was the Tigers team captain as a sophomore and received Three Rivers Second Team All-League as an outside hitter. However, the change of scenery did not stop her from making an immediate impact for River. Dreves helped Columbia River High School finish seventh in State as their six-rotation right-side attacker. Dreves is the definition of a versatile athlete. Starting out her career, she was the libero for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 14-1 National, and after a growth-spurt made the transition to an all-around outside hitter seamlessly. This past season, River needed her to play right-side hitter, and she did so with ease. Given her height and incredible court sense, she has even stepped into the middle from time to time. She is also a competitive tennis player. Last club season she played Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 17-1 National team.

She recently committed to play at Marian University, the reigning 2019 NAIA National Champions.

[player_tooltip player_id="96989" first="Lia" last="Hawken"], 5’11″, OH, Skyview High School, Portland Volleyball Club, University of Dayton

Hawken had another solid season, helping the Skyview Storm with a first-place league finish. She received 4A Greater St. Helens First Team All-League as both a sophomore and junior for her play. Hawken is a bouncy outside hitter with a fast arm swing, who has many different shots and angles in order to put the ball away. With great ball control, she is a consistent six-rotation outside hitter. Last club season she played for Portland Volleyball Club 18-1 team.

Hawken verbally committed to play at the University of Dayton at the end of her Sophomore year.
[caption id="attachment_110785" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Excel NW[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="97006" first="Nikarra" last="Smith"], 6’1”, OH/MB, Troutle Lake High School, Excel NW

Smith had another strong season for the Troutle Lake High School Ducks. A two-time All-State selection she is dominant no matter where she plays across the front row. The only player from the Troutle Lake roster to earn an All-State nod, she helped the Ducks finish sixth place in last seasons State tournament. During club season she primarily plays on the right side, but for the Ducks she is seen in both the middle and outside. She is a smart attacker with a powerful arm. Last club season she played for Excel NW 18-1 Rox.
[caption id="attachment_110786" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Excel NW[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="96993" first="Grace" last="Varsek"], 5’8”, OH/DS, Camas High School, Excel NW (Camas, ExcelNW)

Varsek, a two-year varsity starter for the Camas High School Papermakers, helped them finish first in league and seventh in the 4A State tournament. This past season she was awarded 4A Greater St. Helens First Team All-League, and in 2018 was awarded 4A Greater St. Helens Second Team All-League. Varsek may not be the tallest attacker, but she has an insane vertical. She flys on the outside and swings fast, racking up kills. She also has great ball control so she is often seen playing six-rotations. Last club season she played for Excel NW 17-1 Rox.
[caption id="attachment_108220" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Cole Petters[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="97014" first="Maddie" last="Sheron"], 5’11”, OH, Columbia River High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy

Sheron, a three-year Varsity player for Columbia River High School, has been an impact on the outside for them since her sophomore year. She was awarded 2A Greater St. Helens 1st team All-League two seasons in a row. Alongside sophomore powerhouse [player_tooltip player_id="97213" first="Rylie" last="Reeves"], Columbia River’s outside attack became a force to be reckoned with, helping them garner a seventh-place finish at the State tournament this past season. She may not be the biggest outside hitter, but she has a special ability to put the ball away. Last high school season she had a .264 hitting efficiency. Aside from her efficiency, she is an incredibly hard-working athlete with a great attitude both on and off the court. Last club season she played for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 17-1 National team.
[caption id="attachment_110787" align="alignleft" width="150"] Photo: Excel NW[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="97030" first="Mackenzie" last="Hancock"], 5’11”, OH/RS/S, Camas High School, Excel NW

Hancock, a two-year varsity starter for the Camas High School Papermakers, helped them finish first in league and seventh in the 4A State tournament. She has been awarded 4A Greater St. Helens First Team All-League the past two seasons. She has fulfilled many different roles along the years given her versatility. During club season she trains as an outside hitter, but for her high school team plays six rotations as both a setter and attacker. This past club season she played for Excel NW 17-1 Rox.
