Continue ReadingWe at Prep Dig want to continue to highlight great accomplishments and give kudos to those who deserve it after all of the hard work they put in to their craft. We are going to highlight a few players who have recently surpassed some great milestones in the volleyball career. Say congrats to these three ladies on what they just accomplished:
Maddie Correa Maddie Correa 5'5" | DS/L Reagan | 2021 State TX [2021] 5-6 Libero (HS: Reagan/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Texas Tech)
She is currently the 11th ranked prospect in the State for the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We recently wrote an article on her Reagan High School that stated the following, “Miss Correa has earned 5A/6A TGCA All Star honors and was 1st Team All District this past year. According to Coach Torvik, Maddie is their unquestioned leader. She is compelled daily to show up and lead vocally and by example. Being a coach’s kid she has grown up in the Reagan Gym and absolutely bleeds Green. Coach Torvik is excited for Maddie to continue to excel this coming season and also when she attends Texas Tech University.” Miss Correa has only gotten better and she is making sure that her high school team is in the running for a playoff birth. She just recently broke the 2,000 career dig mark at Reagan. This is an incredible feat and only showcases just how good she has been on a consistent basis. Texas Tech is going to get a game-changer in the back row next year when she steps foot on campus. We are extremely proud of all her hard work and she is not done yet. We can’t wait to see how far she leads her team into the high school playoffs.
Logan LeRoux [2021] 6-1 Setter/Right Side (HS: Memorial/Club: Willowbrook/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Logan is currently unranked in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but that will change once I update the rankings early next month. Logan is a long and skilled multi-dimensional player who can do it all on the court. She is a fierce attacker and great setter also. She has the size and frame that most colleges would love to have in a setter/right side. This young lady has both power and grace. She swings with authority both line and angle at will. She is someone that can play at the next level and will be receiving offers once club season roles around. Recently Miss LeRoux just surpassed the 2,000 career assist mark, which showcases just how talented she is as a setter also. We are very proud of her and would like to congratulate all of the hard work that went into getting to that level. We are going to keep our eye on her closely for the rest of this year. Stay tuned to see where she falls on our rankings.
Lyla Traylor [2021] 6-1 Outside (HS: Memorial/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: Cal State Fulerton)
Lyla is currently unranked in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but that will change once I update the rankings early next month. Miss Traylor is a prototypical six rotation outside hitter who has great size and power. She is a banger who can score at will. In system she is a very difficult attacker to slow down. She is committed to Cal State Fulerton and should be an immediate impact for their program the moment she steps foot on their campus. She has the ball control to stay on the court and help an offense run some back row attacks. Stay tuned to see where she falls on our rankings. Recently she surpassed the 1,000 career kill mark at Memorial High. We are very proud of her and we hope that everyone congratulates such an accomplishment.
