A Glance At The 2019 Iowa Top 250 and What To Expect In 2020
The Prep Dig Top 250 is returning to the West Des Moines area where athletes across the state will compete to kickoff the start of the 2021 club season on Saturday, December 5 from 9:00-11:00 at the Ignit Sports and Fitness Center in Grimes. Last year marked the first year Prep Dig came to Iowa to put on it’s Top 250 Showcase with a roster of plenty of All State athletes. Here is a quick look at the Iowa Top 250 from 2019 and what we can expect in 2020.

What Does Top 250 Mean?
Across our network of states we cover there are up to 250 players ranked and can play at the college level. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but the purpose of the showcase is to allow all athletes who want to play at the college level a chance to play together while also gaining exposure in regards to college coaches. We will have video, photographers, and plenty of articles relating to the event before and after to provide a positive experience for all involved.

What Is All Done In The Two Hour Showcase?
Athletes will be able to show their overall skill in a variety of “Queens”, 4 v 4, positional breakdown, and 6 vs 6 drills. This is a fast paced run of show where athletes will get to work with each other on different courts, switching setters, middles, getting a chance to not only show their athleticism and volleyball ability, but also how they work as a teammate in a variety of settings. Check out the video below of some highlights of the event from 2019.

Who can watch? Will this be streamed? How can I get video?
With Covid-19 procedures we will not be having parents attend inside of the facility, however college coaches (depending on their institution and division are welcome to attend). We will have all courts streaming with BallerTV as well as CMM Volleyball and Highlights having cameras on each court to purchase a highlight video for an additional cost. Here are the coaches from 2019 who attended the Top 250. We will post an updated list of college coaches at the end of the week.
