A look at four versatile 2nd Region sophomores follows.
Amya King: A Madisonville-North Hopkins sophomore setter/defensive specialist, King excelled throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season. A leader for her team, King recorded 500 assists, 239 digs and 31 service aces in a stellar sophomore campaign. King is an exceptional passer and a vocal leader.
Emmi Kirtley: A Henderson County sophomore right side/setter, Kirtley was among the leaders for her team during the 2020 high school volleyball season. As a sophomore, Kirtley provided a team-high 272 assists as well as 42 digs, 34 blocks and 24 kills. An accurate passer, Kirtley possesses a diverse skill set that allows her to excel.
Kaitlyn Orange: A Madisonville-North Hopkins sophomore middle hitter/outside hitter, Orange thrived along the net during the 2020 high school volleyball season. Orange delivered 208 kills, 258 digs and 29 service aces in her sophomore campaign. A strong hitter from the left side, Orange moves well to either side and digs and pursues consistently.
Hailey Sparks: A Christian County sophomore defensive specialist/outside hitter, Sparks is a key contributor for her team. As a sophomore, Sparks posted 234 assists, 50 kills and 26 service aces. Productive hitting from the left side side, Sparks is a precise passer and possesses solid defensive skills.
