Here are six 10th Region eighth graders to watch.
Allison Aulick: A Pendleton County eighth grade outside hitter, Aulick was among the leaders for her team during the 2020 high school volleyball season. Highly productive, Aulick delivered 186 kills, 27 blocks, 123 digs and 43 service aces in only 43 sets (15 matches). Aulick possesses strong jumping abilities and thrives at the net.
Bria Bauer: A St. Patrick eighth grade setter, Bauer was instrumental in her team’s success throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season. Bauer registered 189 digs in 49 sets, appearing in each of St. Patrick’s 23 matches. A vocal leader, Bauer is agile.
Mandi Gilbert: A St. Patrick eighth grade outside hitter, Gilbert thrived throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season as well. Gilbert tallied 433 digs, 69 assists, 49 service aces and 31 kills for 20-match winner St. Patrick as an eighth grader. Energetic, Gilbert covers the floor thoroughly.
Elise Manhardt: A Scott eighth grade defensive specialist, Manhardt was a key contributor for the 2020 10th Region champion. Manhardt recorded 106 digs, 31 service aces and 5 assists in 77 sets. Appearing in 27 of 28 matches for Scott, Manhardt digs and pursues well.
Kate Neltner: A Bishop Brossart eighth grade outside hitter, Neltner contributed for her team throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season. Neltner posted 68 kills, 5 blocks, 79 digs and 28 service aces in only 59 sets (22 matches) as an eighth grader. A strong hitter from the left side, Neltner has shown the ability to dig consistently.
Lucy Trapp: A Campbell County eighth grade defensive specialist, Trapp is a talented young player. As an eighth grader, Trapp recorded 187 digs, 13 service aces and 4 assists in 21 matches. A defensive standout, Trapp is a leader in the back row and possesses a solid all-around skill set.
