Manhardt did a great job once again positioning herself to dig up tough balls. Manhardt read blocks well and anticipated balls well to help the Eagles earn key points. Manhardt credited Scott’s blocking game for taking a lot of stress off the defense. Manhardt said the team made some big adjustments in the fourth game then came out in the fifth with the mentality of having nothing to lose. Manhardt set up the game’s final point with a strong serve.

Manhardt’s experience shows every time she takes the court. Manhardt anticipates balls and makes consistent two and three-ball passes to set up the powerful Scott offense. Manhardt does throw opponents off with her left-handed jump serves.

Manhardt had another nice game for the Eagles helping them get their offense into rhythm. She squares her arms up with balls well so they find their way to the setters. She made some diving saves to keep plays alive in this game.

Manhardt (pictured) has been a consistent defensive specialist for the Eagles since her eighth grade year in 2020. Manhardt does a great job squaring up her arms to balls and making solid passes to setters. She gives great effort going after balls, even going to her knees and moving toward the sidelines. She keeps her eyes on where the ball is going and does not hide behind the blocks. The coaches can rely on Manhardt to consistently start Scott’s offensive rhythm. The lefty also has a deceptive back row serve. It may appear to be going out, but Manhardt finds ways to keep it in, even if only by an inch or two. Manhardt led Scott with 402 digs last year to go with 43 aces helping the Eagles to a 24-16 record, a 37th District Tournament championship and second straight 10th Region runner-up finish.
