5 Sneaky Good Teams to Watch Out for at the PD Resolution

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This weekend at the Prep Dig Resolution Tournament there will be a plethora of talented teams to watch. I personally want to see every single one! There are some teams that definitely will be sneaky good. Don’t take these teams for granted!</span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Motion 16 Green</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This team is stacked with top talent athletes including two very talented setters, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119422" first="Alexandra" last="Kreutzmann"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91941" first="Mayson" last="Wiza"]</strong>. Both have great control on the court and are very competitive athletes. Outside hitter <strong>Peyton Schmidt</strong> has a fast arm swing and a nasty snap on the ball and is sure to bring in plenty of points for this team. Libero/DS <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91950" first="Claire" last="Purtell"]</strong> is as scrappy as they come and is awesome at frustrating opposing hitters with her defense. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">RVA 17 Navy </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This team has an insane amount of potential, from their scrappy defense led by libero/DS pair <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="117352" first="Peyton" last="Como"]</strong> and <strong>Kately Kitsembel</strong> to a powerful offense including beast middle blocker<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="81312" first="Abby" last="Savatski"]</strong> and pin hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81323" first="Katherine" last="Taticek"]</strong>. Both of these hitters put up huge numbers on offense. This team is stacked with power on the pin touting <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81302" first="Madeline" last="Barton"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="117351" first="Sierra" last="Studer"]</strong>, and <strong>Katilin Borchert</strong> on their roster. This is a team that will be competitive at the 17/18s level this weekend. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Impact 16 Elite</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Impact has three teams at the 16s level and all will be competitive this season. This team is stacked with talented pin hitters, many of whom will probably play all six rotations including <strong>Lillian Hanman</strong>, <strong>Kayla Kersten</strong>, <strong>Kiara Kuhn</strong>, and <strong>Mia Schaser</strong>. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91922" first="Madelyn" last="Agen"]</strong> is also talented on the right side and brings a dynamic edge to this team. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119429" first="Sage" last="McKeough"]</strong> can play offense across the net on pins and in the middle and will be a huge asset to this team. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">I AM VBC 17 Red</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I AM VBC always puts up scrappy defensive teams, and this one will be no different. This team will definitely frustrate teams with their scrappy and gritty play. They will be led in the back row by <strong>Abigail Proerfrock</strong>. Right side <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="117344" first="Allison" last="Ash"]</strong> will be a go-to hitter on this team as well. Other athletes on the roster include <strong>Kelsey Corbett</strong>, <strong>Ella Bindl</strong>, and <strong>Julia Marti</strong>. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">1W 18 Bay Mizuno </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a team that could cause some issues for opponents this weekend. They are competitive and have a solid roster of athletes including powerful outside hitters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="56469" first="Grace" last="Perret"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="89566" first="Anna" last="VanWormer"]</strong>. Both are solid all-around athletes with great verticals and fast arm swings. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="80806" first="Nicole" last="Norton"]</strong> is fast and smart on the court. She is very experienced and it shows. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="89556" first="Jaz" last="Lohman"]</strong> and <strong>Amber Vande Hei</strong> are both powerful middle blockers with a lot to offer this talented team. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I will definitely be watching these teams as they start their seasons at the Prep Dig Resolution Tournament. It is going to be a huge battle as club teams go head to head for the first time this season!</span></p>
