Prep Dig will host our first tournament of 2021, and there will be a lot of uncommitted talent attending. It’s coming up fast so make sure to get these players on your list of players to check out this weekend! Here is a look at key players who are still looking for homes at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="81269" first="Bella" last="Van Lannen"] – 2022 – 6’0 – Right Side Hitter – Appleton North – FC Elite 17 Navy

Van Lannen has a huge reach and surely would have posted big numbers in 2020. The junior showed her ability at the Prep Dig Fall Tournaments. If the Lightening had competed in the WIAA season this fall, I think they would have been a true contender for the Division 1 title.

Mollee Gruszynski – 2021 – 6’0 – Outside Hitter – Three Lakes – NW Stars 18s-Black

Gruszynski is one to put on your radar. She is a high academic student-athlete who most recently earned D4 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-Conference, and Northern Lakes Conference Co-Player of the Year. This outside hitter is an all-around unknown talent as she led her team with 246 kills, 204 digs, and 63 aces while keeping 96% of her serves in play. Gruszynski shows no mercy as a true competitor and three-sport athlete also competing in basketball and track.

[player_tooltip player_id="81273" first="Emma" last="Johnson"] – 2022 – 5’10 – Setter – Luxemburg-Casco – FC Elite 17 Navy

Johnson is ranked in the top 4 setters in the Class of 2022 Wisconsin Prep Dig rankings. She is a well-rounded player who tallied 471 assists, 35 kills, and 119 digs en route to a Division 2 State Championship.

[player_tooltip player_id="91875" first="Grace" last="Grocholski"] – 2023 – 5’10 – Outside Hitter – Kettle Moraine – Motion 16 BLU

I have not seen Motion play in a while, but they have been building a solid program at many different levels. 16 BLU is led by Grocholski, a highly sought-after basketball recruit as well. She is an ideal dual college athlete competing at both sports at an incredibly high level.

[player_tooltip player_id="119394" first="Kennedy" last="Martin"] – 2023 – 6’5 – Pin Hitter – De Pere – FC Elite 18 Elite

Martin is still pretty new to Wisconsin, but she is already turning a lot of heads. Obviously she is tall, but she is athletic and has a great contact on the ball. Martin will lead De Pere in the future and is sure to show significant development this club season.

[player_tooltip player_id="80728" first="Linnea" last="Willer"] – 2021 – 5’11 – Outside Hitter – Freedom – FC Elite 18 Navy

Willer is a high academic student-athlete and would be a great addition to any program. She led the Irish in kills with 239, which got her exactly 1,000 career kills. Willer is definitely one we are all watching to see where she lands next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id="80787" first="Megan" last="Hawthorne"] – 2021 – Outside Hitter – Hamilton – Motion 18 BLU

Hawthorne was part of a senior-heavy crew that took the Division 1 State Championship. It was no easy task to make it on the floor with a deep roster. She recorded 802 career digs while working her way to the front row in the last couple seasons to record almost 150 kills.
