Nevaeh Dearmond- A senior setter from Logan County High School, Nevaeh Dearmond helped her school team to great success this past year with earning all-district and all-region honors. She had a record high of 32 assists in a thriller match against South Warren and consistently showed her senior leadership throughout each game. Dearmond was not only their setter but their leader, and you could see that by the way she played. For BRAVO, she will be an integral part of the team’s success with her ability to run a quick tempo offense. Nevaeh is still undecided on her pathway for college.
Anslee Hopewell- Coming from Apollo High School, Anslee Hopewell was a star player for her high school team and helped the Lady Eagles to a district runner-up title. In their last game against Owenboro Catholic, Hopewell led the team in digs with a whopping 21 and tallied 5 service aces. Hopewell is such a fun to player to watch because of the way she plays. She’s always communicating with her teammates and staying engaged in every single play. You want a player that will run through a wall for you? Hopewell is your girl. Tough, determined, and passionate are just a few adjectives that describe this player. Hopewell plans to continue her athletic and academic career at Kentucky Wesleyan!
Lainey Hayden- Another player means another school on this team! Lainey Hayden played for Owensboro High School and led the team in kills with 116 and hit a .206 as a right side hitter. She also helped her high school with 48 blocks, 175 digs, and 37 service aces! Being left handed. she is quite efficient on the right side and will help the 18s team in this position for sure. Hayden played BRAVO her first time last year on the 18s team as just as a 17 year old, so this year she will fit right in with the crew. Be sure to watch out for this athletic player!
Daisy Ritchie- Here with go with the last player who is again from a different school. Daisy Ritchie was a senior outside hitter for Muhlenberg County High School and led her team with kills at 195 and averaged 3.82 kills a game. She also added 115 assists, 131 digs, 35 blocks, and 22 service aces. As senior captain, Daisy helped the team in every position, and they gained a district runner-up title. Ritchie’s bubbly personality aids her in being a leader that all of her teammates look up to. She would be a great addition to any team because of her willingness to be coached and to get better. Don’t miss out on watching this girl as she’s undecided on her collegiate plans.
