18 Elite Black
The top program for Empowered has some impressive names on the roster. Cara Cresse Cara Cresse 6'5" | MB Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian | 2021 State IN (Louisville) brings her 6’5″ frame to the middle, and will be a force for anyone she faces. To know that Kennedy Lauck Kennedy Lauck 6'1" | MB Warsaw | 2021 State IN (Illinois-Springfield) is the “other” middle, at 6’1″, will give opposing programs no break. Anna Moster (Eastern Illinois) also brings size, but to the outside hitting position. Belle Hogan (Citadel) will run a 5-1 for this program. The two unsigned players for the top team include Avery Yoder, who will anchor the DS position, and Maddie Brooks, another 6’+ pin attacker that can definitely make a difference at the next level.
17/18 Elite Black
This hybrid roster includes a good mix of kids from the ’21 and ’22 classes, as well as a few coming over the border from Ohio. The signed kids from Indiana include six foot setter Brooke Lepper (IU-East), who should run a 5-1 for the majority of the season. Ellie Garland (IU-Kokomo) looks to wear the special jersey this season. Grace Mummert (Saint Francis) rounds out the three NAIA signees by being a six-rotation outside. The two unsigned seniors from Indiana on this team are Madison Smith and Mariah Milliage. Madison brings her attacking abilities to the left pin, while Mariah can bang away on the right.
17/18 Elite Red
The youngest of the three teams that will play in the 18s divisions this season also has a couple of signees. Christina Yarian (Wilmington) will bring stability and size to the middle position, while Jessica Tarr (Manchester) looks to her solid all-around game to carry the weight of this young roster. The lone unsigned senior is Cat Ondria, another defensive specialist that will compete for time at the libero spot.
