NIVA 18X
The flagship team at NIVA has a healthy roster of eleven players, the largest roster we’ve seen thus far in our previews. Eight of those players are in their last club season, including Michaela Whitaker (Bethel) and Sadie Brenneman Sadie Brenneman 5'8" | OH Bethany Christian | 2021 State IN (Goshen). Felisha Campanello and Macy Sherman bring size to the middle. Felisha, a fiery six-footer, excels off of one foot, while Macy is better suited as an M2 for her vision and shot making abilities. Taylor Lashbrooke is more suited for a six-rotation OH2, but can DS as well with her passing abilities. You’ll see Madison Boomershine and Allison Pflugner run a 6-2 with this club, yet both have alternate positions. Madison can double as a DS, while Allison can hammer from the right. Finally, Sierra Schnitz can play any of the front row positions, and may be called on to do just that.
Dunes 18 Black
Dunes’ #1 team has a smaller roster of nine, and all nine will definitely contribute this season. Pin attackers Elise Swistek Elise Swistek 5'9" | OH New Prairie | 2021 State IN (Valparaiso) and Emily Rastovski Emily Rastovski 6'1" | OH Morgan Township | 2021 State IN (Purdue) will carry this program as far as they can, and with a solid complement of teammates. Katherine Schmitt is a solid libero, and can play any of the back row positions. Olivia Voelker is accustomed to being a primary passing outside at LaPorte, but will also be relied upon to wear the special jersey in club. Justine Talbert and Ryleigh Grott will anchor the middle. Ryleigh’s size will be a great asset as the M1, while Justine’s quickness more than makes up for her 5-10 frame. Halle Seaburg will be running the offense in a 5-1, but can also attack with a full array of shots.
