District 3A Greater St. Helens – The Stars

<p>Over the last few months, we’ve provided you a lot of information about who are the players you won’t want to miss when the high school volleyball season starts in Washington next March. First, we broke the players down by division and then we switched gears to analyze who are expected to be the most outstanding athletes in the top teams of each of those divisions.</p> <p>For the next several weeks, we’ll dive even deeper, taking a closer look at each of the 46 district leagues in the state of Washington and pointing out the players we believe will be worth your attention in the near future.</p> <p>As we start dissecting the 3A class, our final district is the Greater St. Helens, which has five high schools, and their three best players are:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97221" first="Bella" last="Hadaller"] – Outside Hitter – Junior - Kelso</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97221" first="Bella" last="Hadaller"] was an offensive stud for a Kelso team that finished third at last year’s State Championship. Standing at six-foot, Hadaller also has great reach and a heavy arm, a skill set that makes of her one of the most difficult hitters to stop at the net. She’s also been an excellent blocker and a capable server for the Hilanders and the sum of those skills led her to receive an All-State team honorable mention and to be an All-League first-team member. Hadaller is part of prepdig.com’s class of 2022 watchlist.</p> <p><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CpJvxxkCtrA" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97036" first="Zenora" last="Salanoa"] – Setter/Outside Hitter – Senior - Evergreen</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97036" first="Zenora" last="Salanoa"] was the centerpiece of Evergreen’s game in 2019. Deployed as a setter and an outside hitter, the 5’8” used her great technique and court awareness to excel in both positions. She led the Lady Plainsmen in assists (64) and blocks (nine) and ranked second in kills (29) and third in aces (nine). Her solid play earned Salanoa an All-League first-team nomination in 2019, a step up from her second-team appearance the year before. She ranks 57th at prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97037" first="Ashley" last="Noah"] – Setter – Senior - Kelso</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97037" first="Ashley" last="Noah"] did a masterful job in coordinating Kelso’s offense all the way to a third-place finish at last year’s State Championship. The 5’8” setter was the Hilanders’ technical and emotional leader and had a pivotal role in the team’s success. She not only helped the team by setting hitters up at the net, but also contributed with important points while blocking at the net and from the service line. Her solid campaign placed her in the All-State team as an honorable mention and in the All-League team as a first-team selection.
