2021 Newest Additions to the State Rankings List Vol 3

Please follow us as we venture to the Dallas Area to welcome three new players to our prestigious State Rankings List. We began our rankings in March with only 60 players. We have since then almost doubled it in size as we now have 113 players ranked in the 2021 grad class. We are extremely excited to welcome these ladies to such a prestigious group. We have written about these athletes before, however we are going to now introduce them once again but now with their much deserved overall State Ranking attached to their name. Welcome to the list ladies…     [player_tooltip player_id="118711" first="Katie" last="Le"] (2021) 5-4 Libero (HS: Mansfield/Club: TAV/Verbal: University of Central Oklahoma) Please welcome [player_tooltip player_id="118711" first="Katie" last="Le"] to Prep Dig. We currently have her ranked as the 69th best prospect according to our State Rankings. We first introduced her to you when we profiled her high school team as a team of the week in October. In that article we stated the following, “She comes from the top club program in the state at TAV. They continue to pump out college prospects year in and year out. Miss Le is just another example of their great coaching. She has super soft hands just like a setter and can handle any overhead ball that comes her way with ease. Her footwork is astounding on the court as she is super fast and always balanced prior to and during contact. Her jump float drops like a sinker and infuriates opponents as it gets them out of system or scores an ace. If Mansfield goes on a run deep into the playoffs, [player_tooltip player_id="118711" first="Katie" last="Le"] is going to be a huge reason why. Yes they have explosive offensive weapons, but they wouldn’t be the total team they are without amazing ball control and defense that she brings to them. She recently committed to Central Oklahoma and we know she will be a valuable asset to them next season.” She has been named the district 11-6A Libero of the year. During her career she has amassed 1926 digs and 97 aces in four years on Varsity. She has been a valuable asset for them and will be very difficult to replace. Due to her play this season she has earned a spot amongst the best in the state with Prep Dig. Please help us congratulate her on the ranking.     [player_tooltip player_id="118710" first="Taylor" last="Fanning"] (2021) 6-0 Middle (HS: Mansfield/Club: NRG/Verbal: Uncommitted) Please welcome [player_tooltip player_id="118710" first="Taylor" last="Fanning"] to Prep Dig. We currently have her ranked as the 88th best prospect according to our State Rankings. We first introduced her to you when we profiled her high school team as a team of the week in October. In that article we stated the following, “Miss Fanning is a very long and skilled middle from the NRG club program. She is a solid blocker at the net for Mansfield and cleans up a lot of overpasses for them. She has a great connection with their setter to run all tempos out of the middle. She connects very well on the slide as they like to run it out of play-sets from serve receive both quick tempo and deep to the antenna. She will have to play very big if they are to continue their dominance from district into the state playoffs. There is no doubt in my mind that she has what it takes to be a senior leader for them moving forward. We are excited to see how her senior season will turn out.” Her play this past senior season along with her overall career helped land her on our rankings list. She has amassed 379 kills out of the middle and also 222 total blocks. She has been a beast in the middle and we can’t wait to see what she does during the club season. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on earning a spot amongst the best in the state.     [player_tooltip player_id="118712" first="Bailey" last="Birmingham"] [2021] 5-11 Right Side (HS: Prosper/Club: Texas Advantage/Verbal: Tulsa) Please welcome [player_tooltip player_id="118712" first="Bailey" last="Birmingham"] to Prep Dig. We currently have her ranked as the 112th best prospect according to our State Rankings but she has all of the tools to move up the rankings very soon. We first introduced her to you when we showcased her Prosper high school team in October. In that article we stated the following, “Bailey is currently unranked but that will change once I update the rankings next month. She is an extreme high flier on the right side and is also a shut down blocker against opposing outsides. This super fast lefty is very difficult to slow down on offensively. Not many players are quick enough to time her back one attacks on the right side. She covers so much ground so quickly and loves to use that speed as she takes a very deep touch point while in transition. She is committed to Tulsa University and will be a game changer for them. There is no doubt that she will be an immediate impact player for their program. This season she has been on fire and is a joy to watch on the court. Get your popcorn and watch the show just as we are.” This season she did so well that she earned the district 5-6A Most Valuable Player award. Over her career at Prosper she amassed 559 kills, 94 blocks, 154 digs, and hit an astounding .355 hitting efficiency for three years on Varsity. She is super explosive and we are excited to watch her awesome TAV 18 Black team wreak havoc on everyone during the club season. We are extremely proud to have her in the Prep Dig family. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot amongst the best in the state.     We have over thirteen new players to introduce you to that got added to our 2021 rankings with the new update and tons who moved up and down the list.
