2022 Newest Additions to the State Rankings List Vol 2

<p>We began our rankings in March with only the top 60 players in the state ranked on our list.  We now have the top 100 players in the state ranked in the 2022 grad class.  We are extremely excited to welcome these ladies to such a prestigious group.  We have written about these athletes before, however we are going to now re-introduce them but now with their much deserved overall State Ranking attached to their name.  Congratulate them on social media or in person the next time you see them. Welcome to the list ladies…</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119916" first="Jentry" last="Lamirand"] [2022] 5-10 Setter/Middle (HS: Decatur/Club: Muscle/Verbal: Southern Methodist University)</strong></p> <p>Please help me welcome Jentry to the State Rankings for the 2022 Class.  I have her ranked as the 59^thbest prospect in the state.  We previously wrote an article on her school as they went on a tear this year against everyone they ran up against. Here is a little of what we wrote about her then, <em>“she is a rare talent as she doubles as a setter and a middle.  You rarely see that combination in a player, but Miss Lamirand does it with style. She is committed to SMU and we are excited to have her on our radar.  She is a very athletic young lady who can do it all on the court.  Her hands are great and she can jump set from anywhere on the court and deliver amazing sets consistently to the same location over and over.  She has a lot of length in her arms and that allows her to push the ball with ease across the court to her hitters.  As far as her offensive abilities are concerned, this young lady can explode for moments of firepower with the best of them in the middle or right side position. She uses her lightning quick arm swing to unload on her opponents.  I love watching this young lady play in every position she plays on the court.  Stay tuned to see where she ranks when I update the rankings.”  </em>And as it turns out, she moved up the rankings extremely fast due to her play on the court this season.  She helped Decatur high school finish the season with an overall record of 31-1 and an unblemished district record of 11-0.  She led her team offensively to the UIL 4A State Championship game where she was named MVP and took the title to complete a wonderful season.  Due to her play on the court we definitely took notice and cant wait to cover her for the club season.  We expect a lot of fireworks from Miss Lamirand.  Please congratulate her on earning her spot amongst the best in the state of Texas. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119924" first="Jordan" last="Maeker"] (2022) 5-10 Outside (HS: Pearland/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Jordan to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 69^thbest prospect in the state.  She is a smooth six rotation outside hitter from the south Houston area. As a junior at Pearland high school, she amassed 205 kills, 15 blocks, 165 digs and 23 aces while hitting .228 efficiency.  She helped Pearland to a wonderful overall record of 15-6 and 10-2 in district. This young lady hits a very heavy ball. She can score from a variety of locations and it showed well this past season when Pearland used her as an offensive weapon even from the back row.  She is a smart hitter who keeps her eyes on the opposing side to find open spots. She plays for a great club program in Houston Stellar and will be terrorizing opponents with them now that club has started back up.  She is a skilled scorer who is able to hit across her body down the line and it is hard to stop.  She also excels with her high hard and deep shot as she routinely hits the last five feet of the court with her awesome top spin she gets with her hand contact.  We will be following her closely and are glad she is on the state rankings with us.  Please help us congratulate her.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103966" first="MacKenzie" last="Mahr"] [2022] 5-8 Outside (HS: SA O’Connor/Club: Alamo Volleyball/ Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Miss Mahr to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 70^thbest prospect in the state.  This firecracker of an outside is fun to watch.  I had the privilege of watching her in the state playoffs this past season and was impressed with her tenacity on the court.  She is a little smaller than most left sides on our list, but don’t sleep on her ability to score.  She has a cannon for an arm and a fierce attitude on the court to never give up. She is able to score from literally everywhere on the court and has great court awareness.  She hits at a high clip due to her ability to move the ball around so well.  As the block adjusts to her mid-game, she also adjusts both the set location with her setter and where she aims the attack.  If I were going into battle, she has the attitude of someone I would want right next to me.  This season she was able to total 208 kills, 33 aces, 15 blocks, and 188 digs.  O’Connor definitely knew its strength as they set her 616 times this season.  She is primed and ready for a great club season and we will be there to watch. Please help us congratulate her on being ranked in
