Club Team Spotlight: Lexington United 17 Adidas

<p>Lexington United 17 Adidas features some of the state’s top high school volleyball players in the Class of 2022. </p> <p>A look at Lexington United 17 Adidas follows.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126304" first="Campbell" last="Gash"]:</strong> A 5-8 junior setter from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Gash was a leader during her junior season. Gash posted 597 assists, 119 digs, 26 service aces, 22 kills and 11 blocks as a junior. A precise passer, Gash is a vocal leader.  </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68134" first="Ryann" last="Thomas"]:</strong> A 5-10 junior outside hitter/defensive specialist from Great Crossing High School, Thomas is committed to Arkansas State University. As a junior, Thomas posted 118 kills, 10 blocks, 22 assists, 148 digs and 34 service aces. Thomas has strong jumping abilities and makes challenging digs routinely. </p> <p><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126309" first="Tucker" last="Patterson"]:</strong> A 5-11 junior right side from Lexington Christian Academy, Patterson recorded 111 kills, 14 blocks, 109 digs and 11 service aces during her junior campaign. The Lexington Christian Academy junior elevates well at the net and is agile. </span></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="104537" first="Avery" last="Alexander"]:</strong> A 5-10 junior outside hitter/defensive specialist from Lexington Catholic High School, Alexander possesses a diverse skill set. Alexander will be looking to continue to gain experience during the 2020-21 club volleyball season. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="104539" first="Jasmine" last="Koonce"]:</strong> A six-foot middle hitter from Great Crossing High School, Koonce delivers from the front row. As a junior, Koonce logged 97 kills, 52 blocks and 21 digs. Aggressive at the net , Koonce blocks well individually and with teammates.  </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126313" first="Marley" last="Staats"]:</strong> A 6-1 junior outside hitter/right side from Great Crossing High School, Staats thrives from each side of the net. Staats was productive throughout her junior season, compiling 124 kills, 36 blocks, 10 assists and 38 digs. A strong hitter from either side, Staats has shown the ability to block consistently. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="104525" first="Olivia" last="Bennett"]:</strong> A 5-5 junior libero from Bryan Station High School, Bennett is committed to the University of San Diego. A defensive standout, Bennett provided 335 digs in addition to 89 assists and 19 service aces as a junior. Bennett moves well to either side and brings energy to the court. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68115" first="Bailey" last="Brashear"]:</strong> A 6-2 junior middle blocker from Rowan County High School, Brashear is a force at the net. Excelling in the 16th Region during the 2020 high school volleyball season, Brashear tallied 274 kills, 57 blocks and 49 service aces. Brashear provides a strong presence in the middle and possesses a vast amount of athleticism. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126305" first="Madison" last="Tracy"]:</strong> A 5-9 junior setter from Woodford County High School, Tracy is an accurate passer. As a junior, Tracy dealt out 393 assists while recording 81 digs, 50 kills, 30 service aces and 16 blocks. Tracy is a solid all-around player who can produce from both the back row and the front row. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="104538" first="Lucy" last="Wedding"]:</strong> A 5-10 junior outside hitter from Lexington Catholic High School, Wedding built momentum during the 2020 high school volleyball season. As a junior, Wedding registered 184 kills, 10 blocks, 208 digs and 13 service aces. Wedding is explosive at the net and pursues and digs well. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
