Club Team Spotlight: Lexington United 18 Adidas

<p>Lexington United 18 Adidas features several college-bound volleyball players in addition to some high school student-athletes that remain unsigned. </p> <p>A closer look at Lexington United 18 Adidas follows. </p> <p><strong>Lyndsey Parmelee:</strong> A 5-5 senior libero/defensive specialist from Pulaski County High School, Parmelee is unsigned. Among the leaders for Pulaski County during the 2020 high school volleyball season, Parmelee recorded 240 digs, 108 assists, 98 kills and 23 service aces. Parmelee possesses solid defensive skills and is athletic. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103833" first="Paige" last="Wagers"]:</strong> A six-foot senior middle hitter from Henry Clay High School, Wagers is headed to Mercer University. Wagers was productive for Henry Clay throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season, posting a team-high 42 blocks as well as 81 kills. Agile, Wagers is aggressive at the net. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68081" first="Caroline" last="Cole"]:</strong> A 5-6 senior libero/defensive specialist from Paul Laurence Dunbar, Cole is headed to Kennesaw State University. A longtime leader for Dunbar, Cole logged 373 digs, 69 assists and 30 service aces during her senior campaign. Cole moves well to either side and makes challenging digs routinely. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68092" first="Emma" last="Shadwick"]:</strong> A 6-1 senior outside hitter from Henry Clay High School, Shadwick is headed to Yale University. Helping to lead Henry Clay as a senior, Shadwick recorded 180 kills, 41 blocks, 158 digs, 22 assists and 14 service aces.  A strong hitter from the left side, Shadwick is explosive at the net. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125346" first="Kaetlin" last="Ethington"]:</strong> A six-foot senior outside hitter/right side from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Ethington is unsigned. As a senior, Ethington registered 230 kills, 19 blocks, 10 assists, 181 digs and 17 service aces. Versatile, Ethington can deliver from either side of the net consistently.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125341" first="Ellery" last="Gray"]:</strong> A six-foot senior setter from Henry Clay High School, Gray is headed to Villanova University. Gray dealt out 579 assists while producing 96 digs, 33 service aces, 44 kills and 27 blocks during her senior season. Able to provide length at her position, Gray is a vocal leader. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68074" first="Abby" last="Shadwick"]:</strong> A 6-1 senior outside hitter from Henry Clay High School, [player_tooltip player_id="68074" first="Abby" last="Shadwick"] is headed to Colgate University. Thriving throughout her senior season, [player_tooltip player_id="68074" first="Abby" last="Shadwick"] delivered 247 kills, 22 blocks, 161 digs, 16 assists and 41 service aces. Shadwick has strong jumping abilities and leads offensively regularly. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125339" first="Brooke" last="Poynter"]:</strong> A 5-7 senior libero/defensive specialist from Tates Creek High School, Poynter is unsigned. Poynter helped to pace Tates Creek as a senior, registering 243 kills, 21 blocks, 225 digs and 28 service aces. A defensive standout, Poynter covers the floor well. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103832" first="Reagan" last="McLean"]:</strong> A 6-1 senior middle hitter from Great Crossing High School, McLean is headed to Marshall University. McLean compiled 112 kills, 31 blocks, 103 digs and 20 digs during her senior campaign. A skilled blocker, McLean reads opposing hitters well. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
