With schedule changes for Presidents Day and multiple qualifiers it definitely enforces the term of flexibility when it comes to schedules. Omaha will be hosting plenty of top teams and we will take a look at 2022’s from Iowa and Minnesota who will be ones to watch. We have athletes playing club across state lines, but head back to their Iowa and Minnesota homes. These are athletes who are rising on the radar and will definitely be on the radar of plenty of college coaches this weekend.
Kendall Minta Kendall Minta 6'3" | MB Eden Prairie | 2022 State MN – Vital Volleyball 17-1 Gold (MN)
Strength and physicality. Minta is one who can play out of the middle or could be a lockdown blocker on the right side. She’s 6’3, well trained and is part of a Vital Volleyball team out of Eden Prairie, MN (Twin Cities Metro) that has definitely taken another step up in their level of competition and competing among the best at the Open level for Qualifiers. The Twin Cities club scene has some of the best players in the country and the Class of 2022 is loaded with a lot of uncommitted prospects.
Emma Cross Emma Cross 5'10" | OH Des Moines Christian | 2022 State IA – Club Ignit Select 18 Blue (IA)
Cross can play a little bit of everything when it comes to a front row position. She is playing up an age group on the Club Ignit Select 18’s squad where she is the only 2022. Her versatility may be her best asset where she can score points from multiple positions. Don’t lose this athlete in the shuffle as she is a impact player who will be a key player for Des Moines Christian in her Senior season this fall.
Calliope Coppola Calliope Coppola 5'8" | DS/L Dowling | 2022 State IA – Club Ignit Select 17 Blue (IA)
Coppola is uber athletic. Her athleticism clearly stands out where she can do some special things on the court. She’s played outside hitter, but her future will be as a DS/Libero where she can hold down the backrow, but could also provide a swing out of the backrow as a DS. Club Ignit Select has a loaded Class of 2022’s who have been among the best teams in the nation the past few years. Coppola knows how to compete at an extremely high level.
Noteable right sides with some lefty’s laying down the 🔨

Cassie Sieling Cassie Sieling 5'10" | DS/L Bloomington Jefferson | 2022 State MN – Vital Volleyball 17-1 Gold (MN)
Sieling is the type of athlete you can put anywhere on the court and she’s going to make a positive impact. Cassie and her twin sister, Ellie who is also on the Vital Volleyball 17-1 Gold squad might be one of the top beach duos in Minnesota. All around skilled, can set, swing, and defend like crazy. It’s athletes like this who will walk into a gym and automatically raise the bar.
Ella Becker Ella Becker 5'6" | DS/L Ankeny Centennial | 2022 State IA – Club Ignit Select 17 Green (IA)
Solid, consistent, dependable. I’ve see Becker in a high school, showcase, and club setting and she has been consistent in all situations where she can serve receive, take pace off the ball and has really efficient footwork. She is accustomed to success playing for Ankeny Centennial High School who always has one of the top large school programs in Iowa. Definitely a solid prospect to have on your radar as a college coach.
Notable liberos, so smooth, so much energy
118 – Alivia Wolf

Alivia Wolf – Kairos 17 Adidas (SD) – Preps at Sergeant Bluff-Luton (IA)
I saw Wolf play a the Iowa State Tournament for Sergeant-Bluff Luton High School who has turned into a Western Iowa powerhouse. Wolf is extremely well trained as a libero where she plays her club for Kairos out of Sioux Falls who has consistently sent athletes to power programs. Wolf knows how to be extremely efficient with her movement with a relaxed platform where she can turn a hard swing into an easy dig. She’s big time and I’m excited to see her development over the next two years.
Ella Voegele – MN Select 17-1 (MN)
Voegele is continuing to rise among top 2022’s in the state as a libero where she has played for one of the top high school programs in Wayzata, a consistent power out of the Twin Cities Metro area. Steady, consistent, and accustomed to high level training with her club and high school, she has the ability to play at a high level.
Cara Cyr Cara Cyr 6'0" | MB Maple Grove | 2022 State MN – MN Select 17-1 (MN)
Incredibly dynamic, fast arm, and speed are always welcomed attributes as a middle blocker. Cyr is extremely quick to get out of her block to transition and be available for a swing. She runs a great quick tempo and is a point scorer as well. What I’ve also noticed is that she has a great sense of the court where she knows how to audible in transition where she can run a shoot or a slide depending on what the play is giving her.
Simara Amador Simara Amador 5'7" | DS/L Eagan | 2022 State MN – Northern Lights 17-1 (MN) (Title Photo)
I’ve seen Armador since she was a 15s player for Lights and she just has this gritty court presence where she’s a middle linebacker looking to take the kill aways. She anticipates well and is another one of Minnesota’s top liberos in 2022 where she can serve receive, take pace off a swing, and has a high IQ. She plays for Eagan ‘ last=”]’ last=”] High School which has produced some high level collegiate players and playing for Lights, they have liberos playing in college across the country.
Brynlee Arnold Brynlee Arnold 6'3" | RS Glenwood | 2022 State IA just took over at the net for Glenwood blocking and attacking. Left handed, super physical, and uber athletic. Glenwood goes up 2-1 pic.twitter.com/hLESwtuuD2

Brynlee Arnold Brynlee Arnold 6'3" | RS Glenwood | 2022 State IA – Nebraska Premier 18 Gold (NE) – Preps at Glenwood (IA)
6’3, left handed, strong, and physical. Arnold is a top athlete out of Southwest Iowa where she is also part of one of the top basketball teams in Iowa this year as well. Seeing her play at the Iowa State Volleyball Tournament she definitely provided some highlight worthy kills and blocks. She can attack off one foot which makes her dangerous in the middle or she can blast away on the right side.
Hannah Reichensperger Hannah Reichensperger 6'2" | MB Northeast Range | 2022 State MN – MN North 17-1 (MN)
I’m looking forward to seeing Reichensperger play this weekend because I was extremely impressed when she first made an impact as a 15s playing up on the 16s for MN North. She is a 2022 attacker who is really strong and physical at the net. MN North will be coming from the Dultuth area and for Reichensperger she isn’t too far from Canada, she really is coming from the North, but plenty of coaches would love to being her South for a future home for her college volleyball.
Lexi Stephens Lexi Stephens 5'4" | DS/L Ankeny | 2022 State IA – IPVA 17 Black (IA)
Stephens won a state title for Ankeny High School this past fall as their starting libero. This IPVA team is fun to watch with how balanced they are while also having a do it all type setter in Madison Geise Madison Geise 6'0" | S Roland-Story | 2022 State IA running the show. Stephens provide consistency from the backrow with the first contact, but can also keep her side of the net under control with a second contact when needed. This will be fun to see IPVA compete against some high caliber teams tihs weekend.
Maddie Harris Maddie Harris 5'9" | OH Western Dubuque | 2022 State IA tooling off the block. The more I watch, her value as a six rotation outside 📈📈📈 pic.twitter.com/WTKX30AMcy
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) February 6, 2021
Maddie Harris Maddie Harris 5'9" | OH Western Dubuque | 2022 State IA – CIA 17 Black (IA)
Incrediblly sold on Maddie Harris Maddie Harris 5'9" | OH Western Dubuque | 2022 State IA . Harris is a six rotation pin for CIA 17 Black which is out of the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area. Harris has been a standout at Western Dubuque High School where they have back to back final four finishes in the state of Iowa. She brings a lot of strength at the outside position where she can hit a variety of angles and really get over the net to make a presence with her block. She will receive extremely solid training this season where she will be one who can be a steal at the next level.
Lauren Blake Lauren Blake 5'8" | S Indianola | 2022 State IA – Iowa PowerPlex 17 Black (IA)
Extremely athletic. Blake can set or play from the pin when she has to. She also averages double figures and leads her team in assists for her Indianola basketball team which plays in a tough conference in South Central Iowa. Her athleticism is definitely one to add to a college roster where she can play a variety of positions, she raises the level of talent in the gym, and is going to be the type who knows how to perform well in a variety of settings.
