Continue ReadingThe offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Tina Trevino [2021] 5-6 Libero (HS: United/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Our Lady of the Lake University)
Tina is currently an unranked prospect in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a solid libero from the South Texas area who travels to the San Antonio area to play club ball for the top program in the area, Alamo. She shines in both serve receive and defense as she showcases a true desire to not let the ball hit the floor anywhere near her zone. We are very proud to announce that she has just recently committed to Our Lady of the Lake University. All of her hard work has paid off and now she gets to realize her dream of playing at the next level. In three years on the varsity squad at United High School in Laredo, she padded the stat book with 102 assists, 31 aces, and a whopping 1130 digs. Miss Trevino was a big reason why her high school team went 14-1 overall and 12-0 in district this past season. She is a true threat in the back row and will stifle the offense with her defensive capabilities. She will definitely be an immediate impact player for OLLU once she steps on campus next year. Please help us congratulate her on her achievement.
Lindsey Kriendler Lindsey Kriendler 6'1" | MB Cy Creek | 2022 State TX [2022] 6-2 Outside/Middle (HS: Cy Creek/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: University of New Hampshire)
Lindsey Kriendler Lindsey Kriendler 6'1" | MB Cy Creek | 2022 State TX is currently ranked as the 68th best high school prospect in the 2022 class in the State of Texas according to Prep Dig State Rankings. In a previous article where we introduced her to the rankings we wrote the following, “Miss Kriendler is a very talented and long player who can play both on the pins and in the middle. This kid will move up our rankings very fast in the coming months. She has burst onto the scene and is lighting it up. She can hit every tempo and hit them with so much power. This is one young lady that colleges cannot afford to pass up. She has great ball control on serve receive and can hit so many shots. To be that big and have that great of shot selection is what will keep her at the top of this talented recruiting class in the state of Texas. I love how her former club program Tornados kept her running an inside fast shoot set from the left. It was almost unstoppable. Now she will be playing for her new club who is no stranger to playing against top talent, Houston Skyline. She will have some great teammates and have many one on one opportunities to showcase her skills. Keep your eye on this young lady as she has a very high ceiling.” She has not stopped being a dominant player since bursting onto the scene as a freshman on varsity at her Cy Creek high school program. In three short years, she has amassed 697 kills, she has a .257 hitting percentage, 148 blocks and 120 aces. She is a flat out beast on the court and has tons of power when she connects on the ball. We are proud to announce that she has committed to the university of New Hampshire. She has fulfilled her dream of playing at the next level and we know she will make a great impact on their program. We are happy to watch her grow over the next few years until her dream comes to fruition by stepping on campus as a collegiate player. Stay tuned to our coverage to watch her progress.
Evelyn Batista [2021] 5-6 Libero (HS: Bowie/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Johns Hopkins)
Miss Batista is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a super strong libero from the Austin area. She plays for the nationally ranked club program known for their high level play in Austin Juniors. She stars defensively for the Bowie high school squad and she earned the defensive player of the year in district 26-6A. She has such a natural soft touch on the ball during hard driven attacks. It is beautiful to watch the ball come off of her platform. We are excited that she made her college choice recently. She will suit up for Johns Hopkins next year and will impact their program immediately. This is great because she is playing at a school that will also fulfill her dream of majoring in medicine. Johns Hopkins is well known for having a great medial program. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level.
