With all three of these teams finishing 5th place or higher in the recent Bluegrass event, they should be considered among the best in their respective regions and as contenders to compete well on the national stage each time they take the court.

She can flat out hammer the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="114543" first="Nina" last="Miranda"] is White’s teammate in high school at Lebanon and complements her power well with her length and versatility to swing through a variety of attack points. She has a high contact point and good arm control to challenge defenses well. Audrey Armbruster provides good balance from the right side and can also produce good power with her arm. Sarah Newberry commands the net well as a middle as she has good lateral movement to put up a big block and can has good footwork to get off the net efficiently in transition to make herself available to swing. To complement this offensive corps is the setter, Lindsey Green. She distributes the full range of the offense with good balance and location and when they can sustain their system they are a big challenge for most teams.

NKYVC 16 Tsunami

On the verge of an open-level bid to the USA Volleyball national championships, this team thrives on their ability to extend points and frustrate teams with their defense. The core trio of defensive specialists includes the highly skilled and composed libero that is Kayla Hostetler. She gets great support from [player_tooltip player_id="68144" first="Chloe" last="Fortner"] and Ava Jacobs, as both have solid ball control and defensive presence. The defense from the middle is led by the athleticism of [player_tooltip player_id="106678" first="Sydney" last="Nolan"], as she can play well above the net, and Calah Jackson, who has a great work ethic on both sides of the ball. As Nolan can score at a high clip with her arm as well, she gets good offensive support from pin attackers in [player_tooltip player_id="106679" first="Sidney" last="Arstingstall"] and Ava Siefke on the left side and the left-handed Peyton Mast from the right. [player_tooltip player_id="68147" first="Maya" last="Hunt"] is the setter and does a great job of getting solid production from her offense as she has good offensive range with her hands.

When she gets to the ball on time and balance she can bring good pace. Ashley Walker can score effectively on the right side as she has good vision of what is in front of her to move the ball around. [player_tooltip player_id="114519" first="Ally" last="Cordes"] is a point scorer as well and is one that deserves repeated evaluation on the pin. In the middle, Ivey Stocks is active and athletic with good range of attacking options in front and behind the setter. Complementing her in the middle is the aggressive arm of Meredith Reisman and the dynamic play of Katie Wilking that involves the success she can create overhead off one foot.
