Club Team Spotlight: KIVA 17 Black National

<p>KIVA 17 Black National features players from throughout the Louisville area. </p> <p>A breakdown of the KIVA 17 Black National roster follows. </p> <p><strong>Torie Sparks</strong> is a 5-10 sophomore outside hitter from Bethlehem High School. Sparks has shown the ability to be explosive at the net and hit consistently from the left side. </p> <p><strong>Nicole Bentz</strong> is a 5-11 freshman outside hitter/middle hitter from Assumption High School. Bentz possesses a diverse skillset and is able to produce regularly as both an outside hitter and a middle hitter. </p> <p><strong>Audrey Oxley</strong> is a 5-6 sophomore defensive specialist from Corydon Central High school. A quick young volleyball player, Oxley possesses solid passing and defensive skills </p> <p><strong>Alex O’Connor</strong> is a 5-8 junior defensive specialist from Atherton High School. O’Connor covers the floor and digs and pursues well.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106667" first="Emily" last="Surbaugh"]</strong> is a 5-8 junior setter from Male High School. An accurate passer, Surbaugh is a vocal leader who communicates well and has shown the ability to thrive offensively.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68139" first="Callie" last="Wiegandt"]</strong> is a 5-8 junior setter from Holy Cross High School. An experienced volleyball player, Wiegandt runs the offense efficiently and identifies blockers successfully. </p> <p><strong>Elly Knoop</strong> is a 5-11 junior opposite from Assumption High School. Comfortable playing in the front row, Knoop possesses solid jumping skills and versatility. </p> <p><strong>Kate Whittle</strong> is a 5-6 senior defensive specialist from Sacred Heart Academy. Whittle, who is headed to Berry College, delivers as a back row hitter and sets well. </p> <p><strong>Joy Carstanjen</strong> is a 5-10 junior outside hitter/middle hitter from Kentucky Country Day School. Athletic, Carstanjen can produce from both the front row and the back row.</p> <p><strong>Kacee Blair</strong> is a 5-9 junior middle hitter from Bullitt Central High School.
