Five:1 Athletics continues to grow as a club program and their Class of 2025 shows plenty of promise.
Here’s four names to keep an eye on.
Kiera Krans, Setter 14 Black
Five:1 is high on Krans for her high volleyball IQ and her maturity on the floor. She plays very composed, but also has the leadership skills to have her teammates believe in what she is saying. Krans looks to have a lot of promise and has the potential to be an impactful varsity player at a young age for the Saginaw Heritage program.
Julia Rodriguez, Middle Blocker 14 White
Rodriguez has shown the ability to play big at the net with a good wingspan. She uses her length well and is an athletic middle that is able to make some tough plays. Her ceiling is high as she continues to improve on her explosiveness and court vision. Like any young middle, there is plenty of room for growth, but Rodriguez shows the key foundational pieces to be a strong talent.
Rosemary Brenner, Libero 14 White
While listed as a libero, Brenner is proving to be capable of playing all around the court and has the potential to be a six-rotation standout. In her first club season with Five:1, Brenner has really impressed her coaches and teammates. She’s eager to improve and has embraced the challenge of taking on new positions. It has really helped build her confidence and should make her a standout player in the years to come.
Aleah Swilley, Outside Hitter 14 Blue
Swilley is a really athletic prospect that has a really big arm to work with. She’s able to finish a lot of points with her power and explosiveness. Swilley also has proven to be impactful from the service line, giving her that added dynamic to her game. As she continues to work on her offspeed game, as well as her ball control away from the net, she is going to turn into a bright prospect. A really solid future is ahead for Swilley.
