Simrin Carlsen Simrin Carlsen 5'10" | OH John P. Stevens | 2021 State NJ (J.P. Stevens)
Carlsen had a day to remember in J.P. Stevens quarterfinal match against Monroe. In their dominant two-set victory, she racked up 20 kills and 7 digs. She was the best player on the floor by a landslide and she played like it utilizing a creativity of shots. She was truly special the other day.
Camille Contreras (Williamstown)
Contreras had her own solid day on the court as she helped Williamstown advance without any trouble against Lenape. Contreras put on a setting display with different types of sets, different angles and heights. She was on from the very start and finished with 28 assists.
Arisa Khalaj (Hackettstown)
Khalaj looked like she was all over the court making plays as she helped Hackettstown advance in a gritty three-set win over Bergenfield. This was a match that could have gone either way. Khalaj’s court position was immaculate as she was always in the correct position to make the play leading her to finish with 22 digs.
Lauren Liaci (Jefferson)
Lastly, we Liaci who was the focal point of the Jefferson squad to ensure their advancement over River Dell. She was playing both sides with 15 kills and 18 digs. She was doing everything in her power to ensure that Jefferson would come out victorious. Her arm was on fire and she did not miss a single pass that I saw. A true immaculate and gritty performance.
