<p>High school volleyball underclassmen from throughout the state, some of whom are freshmen from Region 1, will carry momentum into the 2021 high school volleyball season. A look at four Region 1 freshmen on the rise follows.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="107408" first="Kenna" last="Bodell"]</strong> is a freshman defensive specialist from Ballard Memorial High School. Bodell stepped up and delivered for Ballard Memorial during the 2020 high school volleyball season. A talented defensive player, Bodell showed the ability to dig and pursue consistently. Bodell will take on a larger role for Ballard Memorial during the 2021 high school volleyball season.</p>
<p><strong>Kelsi Curlin</strong> is a freshman middle blocker from Hickman County High School. Curlin was among the consistent and reliable players for Hickman County throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season. A strong player along the middle of the net, Curlin blocks well individually and with teammates. </p>
<p><strong>Gracie Howard</strong> is a freshman middle hitter from Christian Fellowship High School. A versatile player, Howard ranked second in blocks and digs for Christian Fellowship during the 2020 high school volleyball season. Howard possesses solid jumping ability and is agile. </p>
<p><strong>Molly Miller</strong> is a freshman defensive specialist/setter from Graves County High School. Miller thrived as a freshman for Graves County during the 2020 high school volleyball season, leading the Eagles in assists. Athletic, Miller boasts a diverse skill set and can excel offensively and defensively. </p>
