Wisconsin just seems to get deeper and deeper with talent OR maybe we are just getting to know them better than we ever have before. It’s easy to miss a few sparkly gems that may get overlooked considering who has already committed in the class of 2022. Listed below are five of Wisconsin’s underrated and uncommitted 2022s.

[player_tooltip player_id="57267" first="Aoife" last="Treacy"] – 2022 – 5’11 – Right Side Hitter – Mukwonago – Milwaukee Sting 17 Black
Treacy is well trained and provides a really strong presence at the net both offensively and defensively. This past season she was an efficient point scorer for the Indians. Treacy is smooth in transition and keeps her body language calm and confident.

[player_tooltip player_id="81273" first="Emma" last="Johnson"] – 2022 – 5’10 – Setter – Luxemburg-Casco – FC Elite 17 Navy

This inconspicuous, 5-10 setter from Luxemberg-Casco should not be overlooked. She’s already started and played against the best competition the state has thrown at her. Johnson instantly made this 17 Navy team better with her speed, set placement, and her consistency. She does a great job taking a bad pass and turning it into a hittable ball. Keep an eye on Johnson because I can’t imagine she will be uncommitted for very long.

[player_tooltip player_id="57289" first="Sahej" last="Grewal"] – 2022 – 6’0 – Pin Hitter/Middle Blocker – Brookfield – Milwaukee Sting 17 Black

Grewal is long, physical, and strong from either pin. She can contribute from anywhere across the net and her passing is pretty solid too. Grewal is making a great case for being a six-rotation pin hitter, which makes her a valuable recruit to keep on your radar.

[player_tooltip player_id="143430" first="Mia" last="Quist"] – 2022 – 5’8 – Outside Hitter – Mauston – V-Hawk Xtreme 17-Adidas

Quist is a true six-rotation outside who could also be recruited as a defensive specialist/libero. She can take an effective swing from anywhere because of her ability to elevate and her quick arm. Quist’s ability to score really supplements her defensive and serve-receive talents. She plays with confidence whether she is putting pressure on the opposing team from the endline or at the net.

[player_tooltip player_id="90602" first="Vanessa" last="Krueger"] – 2022 – 5’7 – Defensive Specialist/Libero – Marathon – Wisconsin Ice 17 Purple

As an extended season, Wisconsin Ice pulled 2022s together to play a couple of extra tournaments as a 17 Purple team. On 18 Purple she mainly played as a libero, but on 17 Purple and for her high school, she is a six-rotation outside hitter. She spends a lot of time training and playing beach doubles with a number of already committed players, which certainly helps give her guidance in the recruiting process.
