Continue ReadingThe most important moment of the season is just around the corner for teams from the 15s, 16s and 17s age group from around the country as the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 26-July 5.
As many as 728 teams are expected to compete in the 15 divisions for these three age groups and the state of Texas will, of course, be well-represented in the tournament with more than 60 teams expected to make the trip to Nevada.
During the next few weeks, we’ll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.
CTV 16 Elite
CTV 16 Elite will be the only team to represent the Club Texas Volleyball out of Fort Worth in the tournament. The team led by head coach Christy Stewart will appear in the 16 National division after posting a 19-13 win record so far in the season. They had solid results in a pair of big events finishing fifth at the Sunshine Volleyball Classic and ninth at the Adidas Lone Star Classic.

Players to Watch
Madison Frank – Middle Blocker – 2023
Madison Frank’s offensive game is something that gets anyone excited. Typically used as a middle blocker at CTV 16 Elite, she uses her great size to score from anywhere on the court. Frank is also very prolific on the right, even from the back row, and the left sides. One of the tallest players in the team, she has also great leaping ability, a heavy arm and the ability to hit in any direction, a combination that makes of her the most explosive player on the team.
Caroline Kahle – Outside Hitter – HS: Birdville – 2023
Caroline Kahle has all the skills of an elite outside hitter. The 5’10” prospect masters the fundamentals of the game and is a very solid passer, helping her team operate on offense. She’s also very good at the net and can score at the same rate when siding out or in transition. Kahle is also very intelligent on the court, which allows her to anticipate plays and make the right decisions more often than not.
Adamari Hernandez – Libero – HS: Frisco – 2023
A new addition to Club Volleyball Texas in 2021, Adamari Hernandez has brought a lot of defensive power to the team. The five-foot libero is a stud at the backcourt and her quickness and outstanding ball control make of her a phenomenal defender. Hernandez also does a great job in coordinating the team’s serve-receiving efforts and pays great attention to some overlooked aspects of the game such as hitter coverage.
