During the next few weeks, we’ll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.

Players to Watch
Sarah Holcomb – Middle Blocker/Right Sider – HS: Plano West – 2022
Sarah Holcomb does a great job in dominating the net for Madfrog 17’s N Black on both sides of the game. A 6’2” middle blocker, she uses her tremendous length really well and is a factor on offense and defense for the team. When hitting, she makes contact with the tall at such a high point that’s extremely difficult for opponents to stop her. Her footwork is great too and that helps her while blocking. Her ceiling is very high and she has committed her future to the University of Wyoming.
Kayla Davis – Right Sider/Middle Blocker – HS: Davis Academy – 2022
Kayla Davis’ physicality is one of her main assets as it allows her to play well as a right sider, where she’s more frequently seen for Madfrog 17’s N Black, or a middle blocker. Davis stands at six feet and jumps really well, making of her a handful to deal with at the net. She has a lot of power on her right arm and uses it, among other things, to tool opposing blocks incredibly well. She has also secured the next step of her career as she committed to Davidson College.
Camille Heidemann – Setter/Right Sider – HS: Plano West – 2022
Camille Heidemann is Madfrog 17’s N Black’s main setter and she does a great job in running the team’s offense. A six-foot setter, she honors the club’s tradition of fielding tall teams and also brings great touch on the ball to set her teammates up. Her size is extremely helps when she works with the middles as she contacts the ball at a very high point and can play really quick sets for them. Her all-around game is very complete too as she can hit if needed and play defense.
