As many as 728 teams are expected to compete in the 15 divisions for these three age groups and the state of Texas will, of course, be well-represented in the tournament with more than 50 teams expected to make the trip to Nevada.
During the next few weeks, we’ll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.

Players to Watch
Emily Adams – Opposite/Middle Blocker – HS: James Martin Sr. – 2022
Emily Adams is a versatile hitter who can score from anywhere on the court. The six-footer is a key piece in FW Fire 171 Purple’s offensive system as she can score from the right or the middle with the same efficiency. She has an interesting technique in which her approach is not the fastest, but yet she’s able to put a lot of power on the ball when she makes contact. She’s extremely prolific in hitting quick sets and frequently uses that option even when she’s on the right.
Kylie Hoster – Setter – HS: Brock – 2022
Kylie Hoster does a great job in running FW Fire 171 Purple’s offense. The 5’7” setter has a great location on her sets and likes to speed up plays when she has a chance. One thing that helps with her location is that she moves well to the ball and always puts her body in the right spot to set. She also uses her upper body strength pretty well, especially when setting to the pins in transition.
Anissa Moreno – Middle Blocker – HS: Brock – 2022
Anissa Moreno brings some power for FW Fire 171 Purple at the net. The 6’1” middle blocker has a good presence at the net and has an efficient offense built on her really quick approach and her ability to hit sharp angles. She’s a very good blocker too and more often than not gets to the pins on time to close the block.
