As many as 728 teams are expected to compete in the 15 divisions for these three age groups and the state of Texas will, of course, be well-represented in the tournament with more than 50 teams expected to make the trip to Nevada.
During the next few weeks, we’ll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.

Players to Watch
Kellen Dorotik – Right Sider – HS: East Bernard – 2023
A left-hand right sider, Kellen Dorotik brings a lot of power and fire to Katy United 16 Adidas’ offense. The six-footer is the team’s go-to scoring option and responds well to the task, leading the team’s efforts at the net. Dorotik has a strong approach and doesn’t ‘refrain from unleashing her tremendous power even when in transition. She has all the shots and tools and uses all of them to score points for her team.
Makenna Loo – Outside Hitter – HS: Cinco Ranch – 2024
Makenna Loo is another offensive pillar for Katy United 16 Adidas. A six-foot outside hitter, she’s difficult to stop on the left side of the net. The most interesting thing about Loo’s game is her ability to hit different sets, which makes of her a threat on fast, side out plays and also in out-of-system, transition scrambles. Her power and size are interesting tools in either situation and she uses them really well to put the ball on the floor.
Abby Hoss – Defensive Specialist – HS: Jordan – 2023
Abby Hoss does a great job in coming off the bench to add to the team’s backcourt as a defensive specialist. The 5’5” defender is very technical and intense but perhaps her most impressive attribute is her reaction speed. Hoss is always able to react to whatever situation and makes her best effort to prevent the ball from contacting the floor on Katy United 16 Adidas’ side of the court.
