<p>What has been a shortened club volleyball season is coming to an end in Seattle but the best was arguably saved for the last with the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship set to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 26-July 5.</p>
<p>The event is expected to attract more than 700 teams in the 15 divisions for clubs from 15s to 17s and the state of Washington will be among the participants with at least 11 teams entered to appear in the event.</p>
<p>Between now the stating serve on June 26, we’ll take a look in each of those teams, recapping their club season and pointing out the players you would want to follow in the tournament.</p>
<p><strong>PSVBA 16 Dan</strong></p>
<p>The Puget Sound Volleyball Academy is one of Washington’s clubs what will be sending teams to Las Vegas and one of them is PSVBA 16 Dan, which will appear in the 16 Patriot division. The roster led by head coach Dan Ishii has an even 16-16 win record so far in the season and has finished third at the PSR Power League.</p>
<p><strong>Players to Watch</strong></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97202" first="Briseis" last="Lemafa"] – Middle Blocker/Right Sider – HS: Mount Rainier - 2023</strong></p>
<p>Briseis Lefama is a versatile prospect who can play as a middle blocker or a right sider according to her team’s needs. She has been a solid player for her high school team Mount Rainier and has stepped to a similarly important role with PSVBA 16 Dan. At 5’11”, Lemafa has the size to be a factor at the net for the team and her willingness to play wherever is needed is certainly a nice bonus. She’s part of our 2023 Prep Dig watch list.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97299" first="Celia" last="Dowell"] – Defensive Specialist/Outside Hitter – Mount Rainier - 2023</strong></p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="97299" first="Celia" last="Dowell"] is another versatile prospect from PSVBA 16 Dan who can slot into multiple positions to help the team. She plays outside hitter for her high school team Mount Rainier and actually scores a lot of points for them but is more frequently seen as a defensive specialist with her club team. The 5’5" Dowell has great technique on the ball and is very good on defense, an area of the game where her refined technique makes a difference. She’s part of our 2023 Prep Dig watch list.</p>

<p><strong>Jaelyn Moeva – Middle Blocker – HS: Auburn Riverside – 2023</strong></p>
<p>Jaelyn Moeva is a physical middle blocker who provides a solid presence at the net for PSVBA 16 Dan. A six-footer, Moeva has played as a right sider for her high school team Auburn Riverside but is use mostly as a middle for her club. Unlike many other players from either position, Moeva can pass and play some defense, giving some flexibility to her coaches on how to use her.</p>
