As many as 728 teams are expected to compete in the 15 divisions for these three age groups and the state of Texas will, of course, be well-represented in the tournament with more than 70 teams expected to make the trip to Nevada.
During the next few weeks, we’ll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.
W Revolution 16 Premier
A strong collection of talent of the Woodlands Revolution Club just north of Houston, W Revolution 16 Premier has qualified for the highly competitive 16 Open division of the GJNC. The group of players led by head coach Raymond Hedden has had an outstanding season so far, tallying 45 wins in 57 matches. So many positive results brought titles at the Mizuno Cross Court Classic, the FAST Warm Up and the Houston Shot Outs 1 and 2. The team also finished third at both the Countdown Classic and the Texas President’s Day Invitational.

A fantastic all-around player, she’s ready for the next level and ranks 17th on our 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings.
Alex Bull Alex Bull 6'2" | MB Magnolia | 2023 State TX – Middle Blocker – HS: Oak Ridge – 2023
Alex Bull Alex Bull 6'2" | MB Magnolia | 2023 State TX ’s presence at the net is extremely valuable for W Revolution 16 Premier. On offense of defense, the 6’2” middle blocker is as reliable as it gets and her best game typically comes out when the team most needs her. She has a really fast approach on offense and due to her great reach and perfect timing, she can hit difficult sets down the middle. Her blocking skills leave nothing to be desired either as she moves well at the net and does a great job in taking up space from opposing hitters. Bull is coming from a great high school season with Oak Ridge in which she registered 123 kills and 85 blocks and she’s also part of our 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings at the 98th spot.
Claire Dewine – Setter/Right Sider – HS: The Woodlands Christian Academy – 2023
Claire Dewine is one of the best-rounded players in W Revolution 16 Premier as she managed to contribute to the team’s success in a variety of ways. She’s a 6’1” setter and does a great job in putting her body in the best possible position to set, even it means bending her knees more than usual or sprinting to chase a bad pass. That significantly increases her range and provides her an extra level of accuracy. When playing as a right sider, she can hit the ball hard from anywhere on the court and can also pass, giving her team a lot of flexibility.
