2023 Newest Additions to the State Rankings – Vol 4

<p>We began our rankings last March with only the top 50 players in the state ranked on our list. We have gotten some awesome leads from parents, players, coaches, and club directors for more players we should be watching.  After three months of analyzing game film, seeing athletes in person and looking at club tournament finishes and the past high school season, we were able to add 35 more players to the prestigious list.  We now have the top 127 players in the state ranked in the 2023 grad class.  We are extremely excited to welcome these ladies to such a prestigious group.  We have written about some of these athletes before, however we are going to now re-introduce them but now with their much deserved overall State Ranking attached to their name.  Congratulate them on social media or in person the next time you see them. Welcome to the list ladies…</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141134" first="Audrey" last="Clark"] [2023] 5-10 Setter (HS: Wakeland/Club: TAV/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Callie to the 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 61^stbest prospect in the state.  Audrey plays for Wakeland High School and also for the nationally known Texas Advantage Volleyball out of the North Texas region.  She is a solid setter who just led her team to the USA Volleyball Girls National Championships in Vegas where they finished as the Champions of the 16 Open Division.  I watched as she was able to deliver the ball with precision to each of her hitters all tournament long.  She has the prototypical frame of a college setter already and showcases amazing balance in her movement on the court.  Her location is pinpoint accurate and she also has a wicked float serve that stifles opponents.   We want to welcome her with open arms to our State Ranking List and can’t wait to watch her progress in the future.  She has the potential to move up the rankings soon. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141249" first="Reagan" last="Elizondo"] [2023] 6-1 Outside (HS: Cornerstone Christian/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please help us welcome Reagan officially to the list as the 62^ndbest prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings.  Miss Elizondo plays at Cornerstone Christian HS and also club for the nationally known Alamo out of San Antonio.  Reagan is a stud pin hitter who just played amazing at the USA Volleyball Girls National Championships in Vegas.  I watched as she dominated at the net for Alamo as she helped them to an 11^thplace finish in the 16 Open Division.  She is a six rotation pin who is able to hit effectively on both sides of the net.  Most players specialize in one side as it is difficult to adapt to the ball on either shoulder from match to match, but Reagan doesn’t let it phase her at all. She can score out of both sides effectively and move the ball to where she wants to with ease.  She is a special player and has a very bright future ahead of her in the sport.  Please congratulate her on achieving the accomplishment of being one of the top one hundred players in the great state of Texas. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141251" first="Avery" last="Wilks"] [2023] 6-0 Middle (HS: Barbers Hill/Club: Houston Stellar/ Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Avery to the 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings.  We have her listed as the 63^rdbest prospect in the state.  She is a talented middle from Barbers Hill High School and also from Houston Stellar Volleyball club from southeast Houston.  Avery has great height and a strong frame with very long arms that will prove to be both an offensive and defensive force for the future. Last year she earned District 21-5A Newcomer of the Year and was named to numerous watch lists. She has tremendous lift off of the ground and is super explosive out of the middle.  She has every chance to move up the rankings soon with her superior athleticism.  We have heard from a few college coaches already on what they think of Miss Wilks and she has a bright future ahead of her.  We are extremely excited to have her in the Prep Dig Family.  Please help us congratulate her on achieving the prestigious state ranking.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We have tons of new players to introduce you to that got added to our 2023 rankings with the new update and tons who moved up and down the list.  We will be publishing more articles daily to give the recognition to each athlete that has earned the right to be called a top 127 Texas Volleyball Player.  Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.  If you have anyone you think we should watch out for or that you think have what it takes to be added to our database, please shoot me an email with some info at nov8vb@yahoo.com</p>
