Heading into the 2021 high school volleyball season, multiple sophomores from Region 6 will be among the leaders for teams.
The Class of 2024 is well-represented in Region 6.
Here are four Region 6 sophomores to watch.
Emma Baxter is a sophomore defensive specialist/libero from Holy Cross (Louisville) High School. A standout, Baxter possesses solid defensive skills and passing skills. Baxter digs and pursues consistently in addition to being a reliable back row hitter.
Maggie Beickman is a sophomore setter from Whitefield Academy. A productive high school volleyball player, Beickman covers the floor extensively. Beickman is a strong communicator who has shown the ability to deliver from both the back row and the front row.
Claire Hart is sophomore setter from Bullitt Central High School. Hart is a vocal leader who emerged as a standout for her team during the 2020 high school volleyball season. Able to make quick decisions on the court routinely, Hart identifies blockers efficiently.
McKenzie Kleitz is a sophomore outside hitter/setter from North Bullitt High School. Versatile, Kleitz possesses solid jumping ability and can provide accurate passes. Kleitz adjusts to sets coming from any location successfully and delivers as a primary passer.
