Continue ReadingYes, we do miss players. Yes, we are always adding to our list. That is definitely the case with the updated player rankings from the Wisconsin Class of 2022. With the challenges of covid that left us watching through a screen and limited opportunities to see athletes live, we were able to catch up on plenty of athletes since the start of the club season. Here are some new athletes we’ve added to our list that have made a huge impact in the Class of 2022.
@VCUvolleyball commit Katie Heidenrich Katie Heidenrich 5'10" | OH Nicolet | 2022 State WI with such an electric arm for @StingBurlington pic.twitter.com/YfRqCdKRif

Katie Heidenrich Katie Heidenrich 5'10" | OH Nicolet | 2022 State WI – Nicolet – Sting Burlington United
Outside Hitter
Committed to VCU
Heidenrich had a huge club season. A major miss for us in 2020 where she was building plenty of momentum. She will be heading to the Atlantic 10 and play for Virginia Commonwealth University. Heidenrich moves extremely well and is explosive out of her approach where her swing packs plenty of power. Her upside is very high with her overall athleticism. She was a big time point scorer for Sting Burlington and will look for a big Senior year at Nicolet.
Lauren Foerster Lauren Foerster 5'10" | OH Westosha Central | 2022 State WI – Westosha Central – Sky High
Outside Hitter
Uncommitted
Foerster has played multiple positions, but was a major standout at the Prep Dig Gauntlet over Memorial Day weekend when she was competing for Sky High North Shore out of Libertyville, just across the border into Illinois. Foerster can serve receive, pass, and is extremely terminal with her swing. She’s well trained and disciplined where she has a solid fundamental base. A physical athlete, she has a blend of finesse and power where she is going to have a big Senior year for the Falcons.
Chloe Werner Chloe Werner 5'10" | RS Waterford | 2022 State WI …been tweeting her name a lot. She good. 2022 right side @StingBurlington pic.twitter.com/DR34Qw00Ln

Chloe Werner Chloe Werner 5'10" | RS Waterford | 2022 State WI – Franklin – Sting Burlington United
Rightside
Uncommitted
Werner is going to be a steal at the next level. I saw her live for the first time at Badger Region Championships this past March and each time I watched her play, I was continually impressed with her solid hand contact with the ball and ability to use the block as an attacker. Werner played primarily on the right side this club season, but was also able to swing out of the middle. Her versatility and ability to hit multiple spots on the court on the right side makes her such a threat.
Another Western Wisconsin team who will be ones to watch this year is @ChippewaFallsSD – really athletic outside in Samantha Perlberg Samantha Perlberg 5'10" | OH Chippewa Falls | 2023 State WI and a quick tempo, athletic team #PDSizzle pic.twitter.com/NwJSrAqE3C
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) July 15, 2021
Samantha Perlberg Samantha Perlberg 5'10" | OH Chippewa Falls | 2023 State WI – Chippewa Falls – Eau Claire Air
Outside Hitter
Uncommitted
I saw Perlberg at the Prep Dig Indy Spring Showcase before she played in a tournament with her Eau Claire Air squad and four months later she tore up the Prep Dig Sizzle with her Chippewa Falls team. A pure six rotation outside, Perlberg makes difficult plays look easy. She plays a solid middle back and is available to score points in the backrow too. Her attacking on the pin brings a variety of shots and will take what the defense gives her. She can rip the cross-court or do a thumb-up shot to find the corner down the line.
Hannah Franson Hannah Franson 5'10" | RS SWCHS | 2022 State WI jumping out of the gym for @MotionVball 17 Blue. Brooke Porter Brooke Porter OH Muskego | 2022 State WI with big swings as well. Tight set with Northern Stars pic.twitter.com/RcZDL4znCW

Hannah Franson Hannah Franson 5'10" | RS SWCHS | 2022 State WI – Homeschool – Motion MVP
Outside Hitter
Uncommitted
Franson was a key part to the success of the Motion MVP 17 Blue squad who finished second in 17 Club at AAU Nationals. Seeing Franson throughout the year, we were able to watch plenty of explosiveness in her attacking and is also a presence blocking too. Her ceiling is incredibly high and will be one to watch at the next level. Her versatility allows her to be be one who can score points on either pin and will be one who will continue to score with an evolved backcourt game.
Lianna Baxter Lianna Baxter 6'0" | MB Oconto | 2022 State WI – Oconto – FC Elite 18 Navy
Middle Blocker
Uncommitted
Baxter has been rising since the Fall of 2020 where she played a key part in Oconto’s sectional runner-up finish. This past club season she played on the FC Elite 18 Navy squad who was the Badger Region Qualifier Champions. Baxter brings plenty of strength and has a sense for the ball with her blocking. She has primarily played out of the middle, but she also has the ability to play any of the front row positions with her athleticism and blocking ability. Oconto showed they will be another force to be reckoned with this fall with a big performance at the Prep Dig Sizzle.
