The 13th Region features several talented young high school volleyball players, some of whom are outside hitters, middle hitters or right side hitters headed into their sophomore seasons.
Here are three 2024 13th Region hitters on the rise.
Darcie Anderson is a sophomore for Whitley County High School. Athletic, Anderson elevates well at the net and has shown the ability to hit from both the front row and the back row. Anderson can produce as a go-to hitter and is poised to take on a larger role for Whitley County during the 2021 high school volleyball season.
Isabella Frost is a sophomore middle hitter for Knox Central High School. Agile, Frost moves well to either side and executes fast attacks routinely. Frost possesses a strong skill set and has displayed the ability to read the setter and adjust her approach to get the most out of attacks and block consistently, both individually and with teammates.
Alyssa Mounce is a sophomore outside hitter for Lynn Camp High School. Productive, Mounce adjusts to sets coming from any location regularly and hits consistently from both the front row and the back row. Mounce possesses solid back row skills and reads opposing defenses and calls out hitters efficiently.
