Three elite outside hitters – Bellevue

<p>Promising volleyball players have been standing out all over the state of Washington. From North to South, and East to West, talent abounds in the Evergreen State with young prospects consistently climbing the volleyball ladder in different areas of the state.</p> <p>With that in mind, we’re starting a series that will highlight some of the most promising Washington players according to their positions and regions. Today we’ll take a look at some outside hitters while we explore the Bellevue area.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Lauren Riffe – HS: Interlake – Club: Island Thunder Volleyball Club – 2022</strong></p> <p>Lauren Riffe has been a prolific scorer for Interlake since her very first season of high school volleyball. Riffe, who can also be used on the right, is not that physical at 5’9” but can bring a lot of power with her strong approach and, perhaps most importantly, excels in finding solutions to score points. She has a very complete game, something she developed playing on the sand, and gets to contribute in other areas as well – last season she registered 81 kills, 45 digs, 116 passes and 17 aces for the Saints.</p> <p><iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FvYXdEpZ3UQ" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Rachel Antonescu – HS: Bellevue Christian – Club: Sudden Impact – 2022</strong></p> <p>Versatility is one of the most valuable things Rachel Antonescu brings to the table as besides her preferred outside hitter position she can also play as a middle blocker. Her game is extremely well-round and she’s one of those players what will fill the stats box regardless of the position they play or how important the match is. A 5’9” prospect, Antonescu made it to the All-League first team in 2020 after another solid season with the Vikings.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97246" first="Arden" last="Carnrite"] – HS: Newport-Bellevue – Club: Sudden Impact – 2023</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97246" first="Arden" last="Carnrite"] has immediately become a key player for Newport-Bellevue in her freshman campaign in 2019 and she didn’t miss a step last season. The 5’9” player has on hew offensive power at the net her main asset but is also capable of contributing in other aspects of the game.
