Week 3 has come and gone! The volleyball continues to not disappoint. With everything going on in today's society having sports for these young athletes make them fulfill their passions. There were thrillers, upsets, top matchups and more. So let’s take a look some of the biggest takeaways from Week 3 of the season.

Immaculate Heart is on a Completely Different Level

Year-in and year-out Immaculate Heart continues to show us they are an absolute dynasty when it comes to high school volleyball. This year is no exception has they are unbeaten in dominating fashion. The team has not dropped a set and the team in my opinion has not even had to get out of second gear.

What they did to River Dell who many, myself included could make it interesting in both sets but it was nothing of the sort. The team is just so far ahead of the other teams I have in the Prep Dig Rankings at the moment. They are complete, play all-three phases and just continue to produce.

The way they are playing at the moment is will they even be pushed to a third-set, let alone lose a match because looking at the rest of their schedule, I don't think anyone can touch them.

Big North & NJIC Conferences Separating Themselves

You have two of the larger conferences in the state: Big North and NJIC having teams playing at an extremely high level. The Big North is expected as they have normally several of the top teams in the state and this year they do again with the likes of IHA, Demarest and Northern Highlands. They have six teams unbeaten with a total of two dropped sets. What does that point too? Dominant volleyball.

On the other hand, the NJIC is a bit of surprise if I'm being completely honest as the conference is normally dominated by Bogota. They have four teams unbeaten and the teams there may surprise you in Lodi Immaculate, Cresskill, Rutherford and St. Mary (Rutherford). You also have Lyndhurst and Bogota with one loss respectively and Bogota's loss is to IHA.

We have seen a statement being made by these two conferences to try and argue who is the better conference? I would lean to the Big North but the NJIC is not making it easy.
