Players from all classes, divisions, regions and positions have been putting up strong performances across the Evergreen State and we’ll take the week to recognize some of them. The class of 2024 has some interesting names and here three of them who have been doing well this season.
Payton Davis – Outside Hitter – HS: Oakesdale
Oakesdale can be proud of having one of the best outside hitter duo in the state with Payton Davis and Giana Anderson. Just like the junior, who was highlighted on Tuesday’s article, the 5’8” Davis is capable of contributing to the Nighthawks’ game in a variety of ways. She currently ranks first for the team in aces (21) and second in kills (59), digs (81) and passes (83).
Danielle Brown – Middle Blocker – HS: Puyallup – Club: DaKine Warriors
Danielle Brown is confirming a strong freshman season in her second year of high school volleyball as the 6’2” middle blocker has been a dominant force at the net for Puyallup. Brown seems to just get better with her blocking and has already tallied 17 blocks in jus ten sets, averaging 1.7 per set.
Katelyn Eichert – Setter – HS: Lake Stevens – Club: Washington Volleyball Academy
Katelyn Eichert is proving to be worth of Lake Stevens’ confidence in her first year as a starter for the strong program. After a full season backing up Michelle Fast Michelle Fast 5'8" | S Lake Stevens | 2021 State WA , the 5’7” Eichert seems ready to run the team’s offense as she produced 125 assists in just four matches, averaging 8.9 per set. She’s also been solid on defense, with 13 digs.
