Lets dive into some of the prospect teams and their players for this upcoming playoff game.
Monday, Nov 1st, we are scheduled to see two matches take place. In today’s highlight, we are focusing on:
De La Salle vs. Evergreen Park
In this upcoming game against the De La Salle Meteors and Evergreen Park Mustangs, we are in for a very interesting and competitive game this week.
De La Salle
The meteors currently sit 12th in their conference and have a overall of 25-10 and conference overall of 1-5. Don’t let their stats fool you. Like all sports, there are wildcards that can happen that can saw the true grit of a team and the meteors in fact have that grit. There are several prospects that the meteors have on their team that have been a huge contribution to their progress to the state finals. Jennifer Falk Jennifer Falk 5'9" | OH DeLaSalle | 2024 State IL , OH, is a very impressive player when she steps out onto the court. The sophomore has strong athleticism and is a very valuable player with her athletic mannerism on the court. She’s attentive on the court and manages to be at the right place at the right time. Olivia Hernandez, DS, is yet another athlete that has been a huge help to the meteors. Hernandez has strong athleticism and is quick to get to the ball when a quick play is bad. She is steady on her feet, but is not afraid to get to the ball when it is time too.
Evergreen Park
The mustangs currently sit 5th in their conference and have an overall of 15-22 and conference overall of 8-5. Evergreen Park is a team I have not had the opportunity to watch during the season, but watching their progression and fight to the state finals have been interesting and shows the talent that they are currently carrying. The mustangs have a few athletes that have been able to catch my eye with their athleticism and their mannerism on the court. April Kirtz, diverse player (MH,OH,RS), is one of the few athletes that are contributors to the teams advancement to the playoffs and hopefully can advance to the semi-finals. She is quick on her feet, able to be used in multiple positions and able to hold the weight for her team if necessary. Maggie Tracy, OH, has been another addition to the mustangs success and progress to the playoffs. Tracy is a very consistent and strong hitter and works well with the rest of her team when it comes to setting up plays. She is a great addition to the team and works like clock work when it comes to the talent she puts out onto the court.
