North 1 Section
The North 1 section of Group 1 features 12 teams and Bogota is the top overall seed.
Players to Watch
Ashanna Caviness Ashanna Caviness MB Bogota | 2023 State NJ (Bogota)
Caviness is the heart and soul of the Bogota squad who is the clear favorite in this section. She has a live arm on the outside and is a matchup nightmare.
Alexandra Belevan (Emerson Boro)
Belevan on the outside for Emerson Boro has carried the team all-season long. If they want to make a surprise run, it will come down to her to carry the load.
Abigail DePeri (Saddle Brook)
DePeri is the catalyst in the back row for Saddle Brook. She allows the rest of the team to play freely because they know she is going to make a quality dig and turn it into offense.

Amaya Ocasio (Secaucus)
Ocasio is always in control of the Secaucus offense and she knows how to spread the ball around. She always makes the right play to ensure team success.
Patricia Rakova Patricia Rakova OH Verona | 2023 State NJ (Verona)
When you think of Verona, you look no further than Rakova as she does everything for the Verona squad. In order to repeat as sectional champs, she will need to carry the load.
Hannah Tobin (Rutherford)
Tobin has been an absolute monster for a Rutherford squad that has impressed this season. She can make every pass with pinpoint precision from anywhere on the court.

The Central section of Group 1 features 6 teams and Hoboken is the top overall seed.
Players to Watch
Madison Walia-Peters (Hoboken)
One of the freshman this season who made an immediate impact for her squad is Walia-Peters. She stepped into the role as setter and she has shown her talent with high volleyball IQ.
Samantha Janker (Dayton)
Janker is the engine of the Dayton offense and she will need to carry the load for Dayton’s success. She’s very creative on the outside and has all the shots.
Beyonce Castro (McNair)
Castro is a force in the middle for McNair and effects the game on both sides. Even if she’s struggling, she has her blocking or attacking prowess to go back to and impact the game.

The South section of Group 1 features 11 teams and Delaware Valley is the top overall seed.
Players to Watch
Ella Dafeldecker (Point Pleasant Beach)
Dafeldecker is the primary option for Point Pleasant Beach. Her length creates so many problems for opposing team and she knows how to hit on her angles.
Alexy Eng (New Providence)
Eng is a great passer in the back row and has great anticipation. She knows where the ball is going so she sets herself up to turn defense into offense.
Raina Hasenauer (Roselle Park)
Hasenauer is a great passer and her stats may deceive you along with her deception as a setter. She does everything for this team to help them be successful offensively and defensively.
