The regular season is rapidly coming to a close and teams are making their final push to be ready for the postseason. We had top matchups, county tournaments, champions crowned and upsets. So it’s time to give some recognition who really caught our eyes this week. These four ladies left it all on the court and deserve every ounce of praise they are getting. Let’s take a look of the players who raised eyebrows this week.

Amanda Shirk (Hunterdon Central)

Shirk had her second double-digit kill match of the season on the week, getting 10 kills in a straight-set win over Phillipsburg. She creates problems with her length in the middle and knows how to hit around the block with her angles. She had a career-high 22 kills in an upset of Ridge.

[player_tooltip player_id="99862" first="Sabrina" last="Skyers"] (Kent Place)

Skyers is part of the three-headed dragon for Kent Place. In four matches, she had 29 kills, 38 digs and 12 blocks. She has a live-arm and can impact the game in every facet which makes her lethal. If one part of her game isn’t clicking, she will resort to something else to help the team.

[player_tooltip player_id="128676" first="Mia" last="Pimentel"] (Bogota)

Pimentel has raised her game to new heights this season as the number 1 setter for Bogota. In three matches, she had 86 assists! She had 40 assists in a match against West Morris last week. She can make every pass and ensures her team to be in the best position to be successful.

[player_tooltip player_id="128500" first="Jenna" last="Joyce"] (Clifton)

Joyce has been the defensive catalyst for Clifton in the back row. She helped lead Clifton to a Passaic County Tournament final. In four matches, she finished with 29 digs and her ability to pass is crucial as she is able to turn defense into offense so easily.
