Player Spotlight: Paige Anania

<p>If you are looking for a player who took over as the top option for a team and ran with it, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id="99851" first="Paige" last="Anania"] of East Brunswick. Anania has been a dominant outside hitter since her sophomore year and has continued to showcase her crafty play and she led East Brunswick to a sectional title last spring. </p> <p>Paige led the Bears in kills and digs in the Spring and is one of the top power attackers in NJ as well as a leader on defense. She may not be the tallest on the court but her athleticism allows her to compete with the best. Her ability to pass from the back sometimes goes unnoticed by how great of an offensive player she is. She is an all-around talent. </p> <p>At 5’5″, Paige uses perfect form and an outstanding vertical to put away kills like she’s 6 foot tall. When you combine her skill on the attack with such strong defensive digging, you have a full-rotation player who makes her team better. At the club level, Paige plays libero and hones her defensive skills during the offseason from high school. </p> <p>And her statistics and team success back that up. She has recorded over 100 kills in three straight seasons with two of them going over 150 kills. Along with that, she has recorded over 100 digs in three straight seasons. What has she done with that to help the team? Oh East Brunswick is only undefeated and #4 in the Prep Dig Power Rankings. </p> <p>She has the ability to play at the next level but she wants to ensure her degree is her top priority. If not collegiately, a club team is going to be very thankful to have her as she continues to play the game she loves. </p>
