Recruiting Commitment Updates Vol 35

The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.   [player_tooltip player_id="99543" first="Joselyn" last="Roberson"] [2022] 5-11 Right Side (HS: San Marcos/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted) Joselyn is currently ranked as the 83rd best volleyball player in the state of Texas according to our Prep Dig rankings. We have written about her a few times and we stated the following, “Certainly undersized for most right sides, this young lady is a high flyer who is capable of shutting down opponents just as her taller counterparts do. What is truly breathtaking is her lightning quick arm swing. She is a very gifted athlete who can play on both pins. I would love to see her get more opportunities to swing as she can be lethal at the net. She will do well at the collegiate level with someone who loves to train athletes. She could be considered a project to some, but I think it is a very project to start with in my opinion. I'm excited to see what she brings going into her senior season. Last season we saw Joselyn kill it on the volleyball court for her Hays High School program. In three years on varsity, Joselyn has been phenomenal tallying 680 kills, a career .176 hitting percentage, 247 digs, 69 blocks, and 30 aces. She is currently uncommitted and has one more year to impress schools and get on a college roster.” We have been watching very closely and she has still been spectacular. The San Marcos transfer has been staller all over the court for the Rattlers. Being uncommitted didn't last too long as she just recently committed to playing college volleyball at Tarleton State University. We are very proud of her and we are extremely happy that she has realized her dream of playing at the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id="87473" first="Emma" last="Williams"] [2022] 6-3 Middle (HS: Brazoswood/Club: Absolute Volleyball Academy/Verbal: University of North Texas) Miss Williams is currently ranked as our 12th best overall prospect and 3rd best middle in the state according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a lengthy solid middle from the Lake Jackson area located about an hour south of Houston. She plays high school at Brazoswood High School and club for the amazing AVA of Texas club program out of south Houston. The four-year varsity starter has been superb in her junior volleyball career. In four years, she has tallied 792 kills on an impressive .240 hitting percentage. She also has a massive 415 blocks and 39 aces. North Texas just got a lot taller and more aggressive with their pick up of Emma. She can hit every set along the middle route tree and has the ability to hit around a block really well. This kid drives super hard with her approach and is getting some fantastic training with the great Katy Garza. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the University of North Texas. She will be a great addition to the Mean Green roster next year. Please help us congratulate Miss Williams on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.   Penelope Quiles [2022] 5-3 Libero (HS: Antonian/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Washington and Lee University) Penelope is currently an unranked prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a solid libero from the Central Texas area who plays at Antonian High School and also for Alamo volleyball. Miss Quiles has been solid in three years on varsity as she has tallied 426 digs, 585 service receptions, and also 42 aces. She keeps her platform well away from her body, which allow her to soften contact from any hard driven serve or attack. She is extremely fast adjusting her defensive position on the court and can cover hitters due to that speed also. She has always played on top teams against top competition. She is one of the speediest liberos in the class and it shows when she chases down errant balls. We are excited to announce that she recently chose to commit to Washington and Lee University to play college volleyball. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of being able to play at the next level.   There are many more amazing players that are getting offers.
