There have been some amazing tournaments and great district battles. We have been talking to coaches, reading tons of stats, and getting lots of video submissions from parents and players regarding how everyone has fared over the course of the season. As we are funneling into the end of district play and about to head into the playoffs, we will be discussing some players who are being nominated for our inaugural Prep Dig Texas All-State Awards. Our end-of-season awards are going to be different because we are going to consider all divisions/conferences/classes together and pick the best of the best. The 2024 outside hitters we will be discussing have been tearing it up and proving themselves all season long with some amazing statistics. Let’s meet some of the nominees:
Jadyn Livings Jadyn Livings 6'1" | OH Prestonwood Christian | 2024 State #28 Nation TX [2024] 6-1 Outside (HS: Prestonwood Christian/Club: Texas Advantage / Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jadyn is currently listed as the 38th best overall prospect in the state. She is a talented pin hitter from Prestonwood Christian High School and from the famed Texas Advantage Volleyball club out of the North Texas Region. We profiled her earlier in the year and we stated the following, “In a grad year that is riddled with some amazing left side hitters, Jadyn truly stands out due to her great hand contact on the ball. You can see a great wrist snap and it helps her score at will. Jadyn has tons of raw power that gets unleashed on her opponents when she goes in for the kill. She has every tool to move up the rankings and be one of the great hitters in this class. We love her potential and think colleges can definitely have her on their short list already as a player to watch. We are extremely excited to have her in the Prep Dig Family and look forward to covering her career.” Miss Livings has had herself one heck of a sophomore campaign as she has tallied the 6th most kills amongst all sophomore outside hitter across the entire state. She has amassed 520 kills, 213 digs, and 77 blocks on the year. Her awesome play has helped her Prestonwood Christian varsity squad to a 38-5 overall record and a 9-1 district record. Her play this season has earned her a nomination for an All-State award. Please help us congratulate her on the achievement.
Ayden Ames Ayden Ames 6'4" | MB Prosper | 2024 State #3 Nation TX [2024] 6-3 Outside/Middle (HS: Prosper/Club: Texas Advantage /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Ayden is currently ranked as the 15th best overall prospect and also the 5th best middle in the 2024 class. This young lady has done something very special this season as she was asked to switch positions from middle to outside for high school and she definitely has answered the bell. Ayden plays for Prosper High School and also for the nationally recognized Texas Advantage Volleyball program. We profiled her earlier when we updated the rankings and introduced her to our readers. Here is a little refresher on who she is, “This young lady is a transfer from Cali as she played for the awesome Mizuno Long Beach club program and is no stranger to competing at the highest level in the sport. She went to a Prosper high school program that is used to being a staple in the UIL State Playoff picture. They graduated some big seniors but with Miss Ames falling in their lap, they are in good hands for a while. She is talented super stud who has people turning their heads already. California’s loss is definitely our gain here in Texas. She was selected to USA’s Indoor High Performance A1 training program as a rising freshman. She is the real deal and has what it takes to move up the rankings as long as she stays in the state. We want to welcome her with open arms to our State Ranking List and can’t wait to watch her progress in the future.” While most players who move to Texas might be intimidated, Ayden flexed her muscles and showed that she belongs in the conversation for All-State consideration. She accumulated 455 kills, good enough for 9th most amongst all sophomore outsides across the state, on a very impressive .245 hitting percentage. She also added 138 digs, 50 blocks, and 46 aces on the season. What is truly amazing is the fact that her coach asked her to switch from middle to outside and then she still had this much production against some of the best competition this state has to offer. Please congratulate her on being nominated for an All-State award.
Vivian Parker Vivian Parker 6'0" | OH Aledo | 2024 State #52 Nation TX [2024] 6-0 Outside (HS: Aledo/Club: Texas Image/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Vivian is currently ranked as the 9th best prospect overall and the 5th best outside in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a wonderful six-rotation pin hitter from the north Texas area. We profiled her last year and stated the following about her, “This age group is littered with amazing outsides and Miss Parker is one of the best in the state. She starred for her high school varsity program as a freshman. She amassed 124 kills, 12 blocks and 49 digs. As a freshman on varsity, she was able to earn 5-5A first team all district honors. For club she is playing up in the 16’s age group with her Texas Image club and competing against older competition. She has told me that she is excited to see how she stacks up against the best of the 2023 class. This young lady has both the physical tools and the mental tools to keep getting better at her craft and become the best she can be. And for her opponents…that is scary. For us, we will gladly sit back and watch the progress.” She has tallied 429 kills on a .250 hitting percentage this season, which is the 15th most kills amongst all sophomore outside hitters across the entire state. She also amassed 489 digs, 31 aces, and 32 blocks, which helped her Aledo varsity team to a 26-15 overall record and a 9-1 district record. Please help us congratulate her on being nominated for an All-State award due to her play on the court this year.
